Well I got the web version finally and what a treat. So I have in depth review to give as I said I'd treat this as a serious work with effort put in to it based on the first release's attention to the vampire story. So there's an element I really like. Now I always do Vice Path and I can't say anything about Romance, but if you do Vice there's a lot of struggle with the darker urges of the MC for his sister and mom. The Mom content I thought was good but the sister has more personality and interaction of likes and dislikes. Talking about her going to college and his goal to get her there, wanting to help her with her art. There's a scene that captures a complexity to the dynamic between them on the Vice Path's tale of the MC's corruption.
The MC can encourage Sadie her friend to let Harly go loose and slut it up, attracting a bunch of guys. However, the MC is furious with Sadie for being a terrible friend to his sister and no matter what choice is chosen, makes it clear she'll do what he says or. Well, there is no physical threat per say but there's a vibe that the Vampire MC will fuck that girl up.
And if you fuck her in the bathroom. It is degrading. Its not dub con per say, but the implication is his vampire strength is acting as a primal seductive force and the way he treats her is rapey. She follows along with every degrading push, yet it has this feel of forced painful sex. The MC is motivated to treat this girl as a whore for treating his sister bad.
It's a pattern that follows along the Harly content. He fights these creepy posessive urges, but when he gives into them, he doesn't stop loving Harly. That love turns dark and sharp, the MC toying with her from groping to surprise touching her. But you feel they are together through a bond.
Compared to Evelyn's starting content, I'd like something like the Harly dating system and more exploration of her as a person and her relationship and interactions with the MC. I also thought the narration of the Dreams to corrupt Harly were more interactive and well described than the first Evelyn ones, liking how she'd wake up and almost see the MC or respond with almost said words to what was happening in the dream.
One of my favorite moments is being in Submassion and having the option to bite Harly. It's a bestial act, showing how more predatory the MC becomes as they embrace their vampire nature. However, Harly's grinding against the MC is accompanied by him leaving with his hand on her ass. Lewd, yet protective. His dialogue teeters on too controlling, but he always shows interest in her hobbies and emotions.
This is something I would like to see more with Evelyn. Investment in her as a person even as she is made more lewd.
Smut wise, I really like the Saddie thing and I feel that for people worried about the Sharing, a way to make Vice Path more fun is yes there is the sharing but tie it together with the dominating conquest of the MC. He's a vampire, his ability to almost rape girls except they are into it like with Sadie, to enslave and manipulate and make them worship him. Play into the sexual alpha predator fantasy, the dark erotic monster that crushes and binds the girls to him. Let the player have options to be scary and take what they want for themselves. I quite liked the dancing scenes with Harly and escorting her out of the house in a very lewd outfits while misleading the mom.
Its unethical, but it keeps the constant truth that the MC is looking after his sister even as he falls deeper to the corruption of a vampire's power.
I really like the sex toy idea for Harly and would love to see such extra features implemented for Evelyn. Something that lets the players push her further on what path they want.
The highlight for me is how you see a clear difference in Vice MC for how he treats people. Him with Evelyn and the red dress is pushy. He gropes her, snares her into having photos taken. He tricks Harly into wearing a maid outfit to clean his room and keeps mentioning how she could be a good wife. It is a skevey power trip.
Then there is Sadie. He fucks her in a bathroom stall, tells her she is his slut for now on and to do what he says, and drinks from her to leave her addicted to him. Its got a nasty brutal using of a girl you don't see in his relationships with Evelyn and Harly and I like it. It establishes boundaries for what matters to him.
I did do the Michale content and tried the femdom. It is not bad. It has a focus more on being sexy than mean and clearly wants the MC to enjoy what is being done and the empathis to be on pleasure. Good job. I saw the dominatoin for Harly mentioned a emo boy, Harly and Evelyn doing femdom on femboys a option in the future? Wouldn't mind seeing Harly or Evelyn peg a femboy for the MC's viewing pleasure.
General advice on more Vice creativity besides sharing, slave training the girls. Manipulating their emotions, having them practice with sex toys, modeling for MC, different forms of authority over them binding them to him as leader of the household.
For the vampire bit, I loved the Sadie section for how ruthless and cruel the MC was while making sense from a sympathetic perspective and it fit to me what a Potency Vampire player would be doing. Physical intimidation, the threat of harm.
