Ok, so as far as I have discovered, you need an android build with the mod included. The support for android is pretty primitive at this time. Often the android version is done by someone else than the developer and is done as a service to the community. I can't find a way to delete saves, access the console, enable console or developer tools under android. So the android base game is available only if someone adds it. So AFAIK the android game is pretty much inferior to a primary platform in the aspect of customentation and support for console etc. There are people working on tools, but they are hard to find (developer has to be following the game your asking about).

I realize this is a patch tool not an unren tool, but maybe a save game editor is possible (support for deleting saves might be nice as well). When this is finished it should be put on the OP. Yeah I find that incest games progress too far without other people in the house finding out about the MC's hijinks. Aside from it possibly being unrealistic, other ladies in the house finding out and accepting it, or joining in, is an exciting prospect. Hell, even some (momentary) jealousy could be interesting.

This game just happens to be a special case. SL essentially comes in 3 variants: the base game, the "extra scenes" version, and the taboo edition.

The extra scenes are shown as long as the content is present. Luckily, the Android builds of the game already include that content.

The taboo edition is toggled by a single multipersistent variable. Multipersistence is RenPy's way of allowing information to be shared across multiple games. A more typical use case would be for a series of games, important choices from game #1 could be saved in the multipersistent store, allowing future games to automatically pull that information across.

Because multipersistent data is designed to be accessed by other games (even on Android), all you need to know are the key and variable names, and you can edit any of that information. All the app I made does is modify the multipersistent variable that controls whether SL runs as the standard edition or the taboo edition.


tl;dr: it's not usually this easy, but if all developers set up their Android builds this way, it COULD be this easy.

Yeah these kind of games by necessity require some suspension of belief. Most players don't like slow burn to the degree that would be needed for it to be more realistic. Thats a frequent criticism of Dating my Daughter that its so slow and even that is only on day 19 in game, which in terms of realism is extremely fast.

Its the time difference in that whilst in game an SL update is only 2 days, in real time it takes a month to do.

It would easily be problematic and add even more branching content to that before the whole family is aboard. So Liza at the very least needs to be added to the fuckbuddy fold first, after that the harem can break out as long as you got all of them, to avoid the author having to set up 9+ different variants of the same scene.

So what I'm hearing is there needs to be a global forum for android developers to communicate what they are doing and how to do it? Also maybe some best practices info for all developers to allow some common framework so that all developers can make it easier to do android ports and tools? Also a place to let users know how to do things with android games and what's available. Like for me, I just can't believe there's no way to delete saves for the android games? Surely this should be possible. I mean the list of things that should be done is immense. Console access isn't really possible. I looked for over an hour trying to find where the scripts were for a game on android (I found where the saves were, but no scripts or code that I could find). There isn't (as far as I know) info on how renpy supports android ( I may have missed it cuz I only looked for ten minutes). So surely they are trying to find a way to support android. But I am amazed how good the community on f95zone is. Most of the android ports are being done by a small group of volunteers, mostly without the original developers involvement. This is an amazing effort. The problem is every game forum is dealing with these issues in that forum and for that game only. So there are questions and issues spread out all over the place and it's hard to figure out how much resources are available and what's a global solution and what's just a fix for a specific port.

btw when a game is complete, is it possible to come back and redo all animation ? like if you set a goal for xxxx $ you will hire someone to help you with it or you prefer it as it it when it ends?

I didn't construe it as an attack, so if my reply did come across a little harshly, that wasn't my intention. Hiring someone might be an idea, but I'd have to find an animator first and managing subcontractors seems like a lot of work for something I don in my spare time. Still, if the number of patrons keeps growing like it does right now, there might be room in the future for some outsourcing.

So I downloaded the android version of 12 (normally I play the PC version) and was surprised that the video problem had completely disappeared, so for whomever is responsible thanks for that. So I downloaded the apk file and installed it. Everything worked, except a couple of minor issues. One the installed apk doesn't appear in the installed software list. The other is I can't find a way to move the installed app to the external sd card instead of the main memory. Not really earth shattering issues, minor irritants at most. But it would make it easier to run your game on android devices if something could be done. But I really like this game.

The Android version is a bit of headache. Building Android packages in Ren'Py is a black box. The process is almost fully automated, there are only a few variables you can set. The green screens are caused on certain Android devices because of the scale of the images. Anything bigger than 1280 x 720 causes some devices to crap out. All 1080p images have been scaled back to 720p in the Android version. The points you mention are likely the ones where the panning vertical images appear. If I remove those, other Android users will miss out on them.

As for the other features, like deleting saved games, this is technically possible. I'm not entirely sure why Ren'Py doesn't offer a delete button for saves by default, but it's possible to create one by hand, might look into that when I have the time.

If I were to start over with Sisterly Lust, I think I'd remove the corruption/trust dynamic and just check for the plethora of flag variables that have been set in the past twelve versions of the game. It really is a balancing act and another thing you need to keep track of. Won't remove it from Sisterly Lust, but it isn't going to return in the next VN I'm going to develop.
