Something tells me he thinks that his advertising on pornhub and loverslab means more then his shitty scheme of locking animations behind Patreon tiers. That's the kind of shit that gives you a bad reputation. I know I for one would never recommend him, in fact I would advise against it.

Im totally fine with devs putting the public versions a month or 2 behind the Patreon version, but fuck paywalls. Dudes worse then EA.

his anti consumer patreon and toxic attitude in general is the reason he isn't making more.
probably, he is already getting pissed for people sharing his free stuff, which is basically free advertising, and threatened to drop all free releases

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'd love to see this take off.

For about 2 decades now modding was about people from the great communities that grew around these games working to make them even better, and only for the love of the game and the community itself. It was a social hobby, not a business opportunity. People are trying to ruin that now, and it's honestly pretty gross imo.

I agree, but I also understand Komotor wanting to make money off of making his mods. However locking animations Patreon tiers is something pretty unforgivable. The sad part is because of people like him this is only the beginning.

I'm Komotor I distribute stuff for Free and it's good like that...
If I see anything pirated I'm going to have to drop this work...
And good bye to any new animations from me for your FUCKING GAME that I hate, but that I continue to do as service...
I'm working almost 16hours per day and 7/7 to keep a small amount of patrons and have not easy to continue..
If you want to see me drop this shit for good, share my stuff, and you never see me release anything anymore, aswell for free or for paid..
Sounds like a dare!
Let the paywall crumble, Pirates!
Avast and ahoy, mates! There's treasure to be found! If you like a few sexlab anims.

Yeah, getting money for work is pretty bad... isn't it?

And yes, I also hate "paywalls" but if you really like something and also want to see more stuff in future you should consider to support the creator or just say "thanks" ... nothing is more demotivating to see that your files get over 1000 downloads and getting not a single "thank you". ("likes" do not count)

My creation will stay free, I like to see people enjoying my stuff, seeing screenshot with it etc..

@Skyrim: Making Animations, Models for it is a pain in the ass, the creation engine and tools of it are the biggest crap ever seen! If TES6 still have this engine the modding community will totally die!

its not about not earning money from your work, its about making people pay for your mod, which im pretty sure is a tos violation of skyrim

its ok to get paid to create mods, but not making a product and selling it

and komotor stated multiple times that he hates skyrim, yet still continues in sweatshop like conditions. at this point i think we are doing him a favor in leaking his stuff, so he can stop, get a grip on himself and start doing things he enjoys again.

The Skyrim modders will never cease to amaze me in how they are such drama queens. They have one of the easiest games to mod in the entire industry and they still whine and whine about how their tools are crap, how users are so entitled, how they don't make money from their hard work, etc... They should spare a thought for us plebs who still make mods for the Infinity Engine games or people like who's currently doing a full balance patch for Tactics Ogre (the PSP remake) with nothing but a hex editor.

And I can't think of any other modding community where someone deleted all of his work because Trump won the US elections or attempted to sue a Youtuber because he dared showcase a mod (a mod made with other people's resources at that). Even the Sims and Minecraft don't have a community that ridiculous.

Skyrim modding is only easy if you change already existing stuff like spells, races, textures. (like 99,0% of all mods) But if you need to work with the nif files (skyrim meshes) it starts to hurt, and it hurts much more if you need to use the shitty havok tools for animations.
Its much more work than posing some "bought" daz models in "bought" backgrounds, render and write a text to it like in the most games here.

I will also not support creators that only use a paywall, there are also animation creators for sims who uses paywalls as well.
I think the best system is to just release it earlier for patreons, like a "paid early access" and release it later for all.
Modding is a hobby, like many other hobbies can it be also very expensive, so a bit of support can help.

For "pirate" modders it gets also shittier and shittier to get newer tools, you can't find a newer 3dsmax version without hidden bitcoin miner.

Still way easier than making a rom hack, creating entire sprite sheets or patching 300 spell effects byte per byte in Weidu. You guys have it easy compared to the majority of modders working on other games. I'm not saying Skyrim modding doesn't require work mind you, my point is that you really shouldn't complain about the tools you have (that's the part of your post that led me to make a reply in the first place).

I'm complaining about something I know, you have no idea what you complaining about.
I have no Idea how to hack a rom, And I don't want to know.
Making Sprites? ...no problem if you can choose how to make them...
I made sprites out of my follower just for fun, maybe 2h work:

To be honest, there are so many whole armouries, so many free armour mods, so many great follower mods, including those with complete storylines, I see absolutely no reason to pay for any skyrim related mod and also have no big interested in these mods anyway. What's another 10 nice armour mods gonna bring me that the hundreds of extra armours I already have in game don't? As for followers, I care for their writing and their storycontent and as far as I know all the best of those are still available on Nexus.

Ok, so now we wait to see if Komotor shuts down his Patreon since we have his animations. Even though I can guarantee it was some random idiot making a joke and not the actual guy. If it was, then that's just shameful and he should feel bad about his terrible attitude.
