You could have multiple installations of the game. Keep 1.5.97, then have another which is the latest version and fix your load order while still having a working game.

I went with the Best of Both option. Mostly because The Cause CC mod crashes when picking up the Mythic Dawn journal on 1.5.97 and that there are a few mods that still haven't been ported over, like One With Nature and some settings loaders.

short answer is yes i have a list of about 400 mods works great just takes time

I googled a bit and found some reddit threads complaining about this issue.
I never had issues with The Cause because I use a manual downgrade from SSE 1.6.640 to SSE 1.5.97 (never used downgrader tools from nexus) and use my own advanced reduced version of that creation

and even this its tweaked by others plugins (Medhad and Granas are extremely strong in my game and they are the one that hold the new CC weapons).


I'm going to do the SSE 1.6.1170 adventure and will tell you how I proceeded and the changes I made to USSEP (even at that step I will fork Arthmoor work as I did it before) and how I use "reduced versions" for the new SSE 1.6.1170.

for Daenlit of Wyrmstooth. Its quite difficult to find good WoodElves presets that are close to lore and don't look like a teen or childish girl.
Let's see what we can do with this one, probably a change of hair and color.

Any chance for the A Tale of Blood and Snow downgrade for SSE 1.5.97 as well?

Cant say, havent tried doodlez mod because I do use reshade.

Was checking Steam to buy it and came across this review by Ariel (3rd Review on frontpage)

I bought this tool and it worked really well especially because it was the only solution I found to get Frame Generation in windowed mode.

Since the latest update (3.1) the windowed mode has been removed and now all applications you try Lossless Scaling on will go "Full Screen" adding horrible black borders if the aspect ratio of the original app doesn't match the display one.

Despite many users purchasing this product, mostly because it offered that feature (check the official Discord for proof), the devs seem to have no plan to reintroduce it.

I'm sorry to see the direction this project took and I'm sorry to say that if I pay something that offers me a feature and then said feature is taken away I'd call that a scam.

EDIT:
I forgot to mention the feature in question is still available should you choose to give up any future update to the app including new features and performance improvements and revert to an old build.
My bad for not even considering this a fair option to mention. Oh wait, because it isn't. :)

The develepor response to it does confirm removal of windowed mode with no plans to add the same, Considering how many Skyrim mods specifically need/ask for Borderless Full Windowed mode, how are u using it, any issues popping up by using game in Fullscreen or is there some way to use Lossless Scaling Upscale/FrameGen with Borderless Windowed Skyrim since PureDarks upscaler does allow that.

It's a bit of late, I'm in the process of removing 1.5.97.
It was in my plans to convert "Bards College Expansion" to 1.5.97 but the whole theme of the mod didn't attract me (particularly the new shoots, Ballads and Becoming an Emissary ...).
As for "A Tale of Blood" I was allergic from the start about the guy who is behind it.
(a friend or clan of Arthmoor coming from "nowhere" and taking part to USSEP team? there is something sneaky there).

(*) Bards College Expansion - use a new interior for Solitude Bards College, there are possible conflicts with JK Bard Colleges and Amorous Adventures that use scenes there.
