Big Head the hairs are bigger, better for larger heads, small head version the hairs are smaller, will look bad on large heads.

Apologies what I mean is what reason or situation would I use the small head in? And would it just be safe to assume I should go with Default.

If you have characters designed with smaller heads, maybe race mods or something I don't know. I use the default one and its fine, in fact even some of them are a bit small for some presets. But you can always just use the racemenu editor to change it to fit.

There is one on arca.live
This guy converted quite a few packs, including some Billy and Anub that were not covered by the ones on Nexus
