I'm gonna de-compile the DLL file in Parapets mod Auto Audio Switch to make a version that works with 1.5.97.

He used to allow people to create patches, but now closed his permissions so no one can. Simply because he's a control freak cocksucker who wants everyone to move to the latest game version. He's passive aggressive, and came off as a total narcissist douche bag from my interaction with him. Arthmoor Jr. energy. So now I'm feeling motivated by pettiness.

Anyways, it's a rather simple mod and shouldn't take more than a few hours to reverse engineer(would take 30 minutes if he wasn't a cunt about the source code) for 1.5.97 once I find time to dig in. I'll probably have it out this weekend and post it here.

Sorry for non-pirated mod related rant. So here, a pirated mod for you.
OMG! He blocked u too? I was literally going to upload this file as well. I posted a comment abt 1.5.97 I was just agreeing with someone who just asked why permissions were closed to port a 1.5.97 patch, they offered to do it themselves, if he was too busy. All comments related to that were deleted. I was blocked just giving a + Never been blocked there in my life.

Thx Dude, like this mod isn't actually essential, but like who hasn't played this game and had this problem switching back and forth?

I'll give the guy credit for the mod's concept, but this is something that Bethesda should've fix along time ago with the ka-zillion of mod breaking updates skyrim has over the last + decade.

i definitely appreciate your efforts brother, as I'm sure the rest of this community does as well.

That guy has issues, never been blocked by anyone on that site. I know of him, but never used any of his stuff, I just saw the Fix highlighted on the webpage and said "Wow! someone is actually attempting to tackle this" I checked to see if it was compatible with 1.5.97, it wasn't. I + the guy who wanted permission to port it, and then I get the memo, I'm blocked.

The tears I shed, I can't talk right now...

is it difficult to support older versions of skse these days? there are so many mods out there that support multiple versions that it almost feels deliberate when mods dont

It depends. for example, I started modding LE in 2012, when SE came out, you had Modders refusing to mod SE
(some still do) now you have Modders on AE refusing to port SE.

Hey, I get it, guys move on, mods on the nexus are free, most of the guys who create them, keep them free. I'm grateful and appreciate their efforts, I personally don't have any issue with them not making it universal or creating a SE port, but not giving someone else the permissions to do so, is a bit much IMO.

I think the majority of the creators realize there is a significant segment of the community who refuse to update any further than .97 or are adamant abt using mods only compatible with it. I count myself as among that Stone Age contingent.

So I don't think you'll find support difficult on the staples and a good share of the mods free or paywalled, mainly you'll find some difficulty on newer mods. So far I think SE has still has terrific support, I can't speak to the various AE versions

Didnt the latest update fix whole dated .dill thing? If you have 1.6.1170+ versions all future updates (another one might be here soon) will work. I also know the "BEEs" mod fixes new bigger .esl so that they work with any version.

If those statements are true, updating SE to latest version would be the best.

Actually none tested seriously AE 1.6.1170 (to my standards at least) and I'm not counting on Arthmoor, Darthvitrial (the one I suspect has some "roots" on Bethesda) or Parapets to give me positive feedbacks.
I see people on the wall of USSEP page complaining about issues of BYOH dialogues.
A lot of modders aren't aware that Bethesda broke the old Seq dialogue trick and still continue to ship their mods with *.seq files.
