As a subscriber who saw everything unfold I can tell you that yes it was the catalyst for his vacation.
First of all, the most obvious thing was that halfway into TBAT he would only post 2 new pages instead of the expected 3 to 4 pages. He would say that his schedule was tight or he wanted to give more attention to another comics, but for me it was already a sign that he was not into it anymore.
Secondly, it was the different comments he would receive. TBAT was the comics people interacted the most by a landslide, and while the majority enjoyed it for the most part, you would see people complaining that it was not sexual or sensual enough, it was too dark, and some were not happy at all for Trixie.
Lastly, it was when he announced his break he said something like "Sometimes you have an idea in your head that seems great but once you put it onto paper it's not as good as you thought it would be". For me, it was the confirmation that TBAT was the problem for Sleepy.

With TBAT, the outcome was predictable and obvious: there were only two of them, or she becomes a sexual puppet like Nancy with hypnosis and the rest, or she works and helps the duo or the coven.
With Sleepy, it's different, or it's the beginning of something new, or it's the beginning of the end. You can have many ideas, but without enough support, you'll do little or nothing. I hope it's for the best, but that will be decided by the fate of her work and the support she receives.
Another thing I still don't understand about what she means by "comic" are drawings for adults. How will she make them comical? Will she try to be like "Cherry Mouse" (Recommended, by the way), or whatever.
The isekai thing will surely be like a failed rescue or like the barbarian women with well-defined muscles from the old works.

Cherry Mouse Street also rebooted its stories. It did "Ride or Die - The Adventures of Chloe and Amber," which had three chapters with a cliffhanger for the fourth, but stopped and started a new story with the two protagonists, changing the title to Chloe and Amber. The stories, which had more comedy, became more erotic and sensual. "Slumber Party Mystery" joins the list of incomplete stories along with "Selene" and "Mystery of the Living Dolls." What I didn't like is that it won't include Slumber, which was good. If its reboot is like Cherry Mouse's, where we'll see all the characters again, I'm fine with it.

Personally, I’m relieved that SG* wants to shift toward a more playful, less dark tone in his work. I never cared for those grim little nightmares like Pam and Countrygirl. Yes, the sex was hot, but the wicked villains stashing women away, drugged and shelved indefinitely was more twisted than I care for.

My taste leans toward capture-and-release ... say Nancy or her aunt, for example. And then, of course, there are the cheerful, corrupt and pass-around romps like the Barista story. Far more fun, far less misery.

I do agree. There must be something behind it. Publishing content there, use the same login/e-mail, etc.
Sites don't share logging information. It's a part of their core business.

One day my debit card was refused out of the blue. I could not subscribe to anyone.
I searched everywhere for an explanation and I saw someone saying that Subscribestar can check your cookies and if you have cookies from kemono it can flag your account.
So I deleted my Subscribestar account, deleted every cookies, I then created a new account while using a VPN and it worked, my debit card was not refused anymore.
I assumed then that it was because of Kemono, it could be something else though. I've seen people saying that some banks have blacklisted Subscribestar and while that one is true I don't think that's what happened to me.

I never minded the "darkness" of Sleepy's works, stories like Meanwhile in Violet's Dungeon are, for sure, not good-feel at all, but are sexy and captivating and he did it well. I just hope he doesn't trash his style and identity completely going forward.

The animated Subliminal Messages is one of his best work in my opinion, there is a great balance in there where it's not violent but an aspect of evil is still present.

On his newer work, the corruption aspect started giving way to forceful sexual encounters and more violence, things that don't really appeal to me. I don't know if this direction will hook me like it used to, but this is the only creator I've dropped 25 to get the archive, so I'm hopeful.

I was hopeful, due to some of the subliminal/hypnosis stuff in other works, that Country Girl would start to enjoy her new life and maybe become enthusiastic about lesbian stuff. Maybe she develops a specific fixation like pussy or butts. It's still very dark to change a person but the corruption/turning aspect would have been exactly the kind of thing that visual storytelling is good for. TBAT might have been better told in mostly text, as the middle portion ended up feeling like redundant scene after scene of a girl in pain and not really progressing to anything. I suspect he realized this halfway through and started to feel trapped; obligated to finish and uninterested in doing so.
