Honestly, the remake is kinda disappointing considering the rest of the scenes are gonna be non-canon. All of the updated art is fantastic, but there's not much extra in terms of the main content. I wish he would've added some extra scenes during the empty time slots where there's nothing to do but progress the story, or something to fit a few more "real" scenes in. He also cut a bunch of dialogue regarding Bunichi's past, and made him a bit lamer honestly. It kills the exciting degenerate impact he had in the original. I don't like this whole phase of "sanitizing" the dialogue in a series that's all about the hardcore/niche content.
Also, is it just me, or did the grammar quality decrease from the previous games? There's a lot of rough ESL dialogue and wrong word usage that I don't remember the previous games having much of. C'mon Ark, you write better than this. And why you doing homie Kentaro so dirty? You take the first dibs cunny from him in origins, and now you got him looking like a lesbian.
Regardless of my griping, I hope the new scenes foreshow what could be a new SoV project down the line. Here's hoping Ark's subscribestar really starts to take off.
