you should add like enigma unpacker and RPGmaker decrypter apps to the additional tools pack they are super usefull for like decrypting BOXED games and files in some formats i can add the ones i use here for reference there might be new versions out now or you could just add these old ones i use

i used them a for a few games i translated with your SLR allready thanks again for introduceing SLR to me <3

edit: aww yes for those new to enigma unpacker and will wonder where the files went the app will always make a %DEFAULT% folder in the game folder
and RPGmaker decrypter has a folder next to executeble where the files undecrypted format will end up

i personaly scanned them both before i started useing them they are virusfree that is a false virus warning

I'm slightly confused. Are those different versions?

I've released SLR Translator v1.111.
Main change is that I fixed a stupid typo that was putting "ca not" in a bunch of sentences, which was meant to be "cannot".

Hello, I want to ask, in the folder for sugoi translator, there's a note that say "Remove the "-c" from the core logic to enable the cache system". Where I can do that?

In the bat to start it, but since SLR Translator has its own cache system it's redundant.
So unless you're planning to turn off the SLR cache, there's no reason to turn the Sugoi one on.

Edit: To explain better why it's pointless. Whenever SLR is using its cache to translate something it translated before, Sugoi is not even asked anymore, so the cache cannot actually do anything, which is why I turned it off in that repack.

The only reason I can come up with why you would want to keep it is so your cached stuff carries over when you update, but you could also just manually grab your cache from the old version. It's in www>addons>SLRtrans, the "Cacheslr.json".

Oh I see, thanks for the reply..

BTW, while translating, the part that where we choose the translation tools, for sugoi it was "SLR" option right? Or its another option?

The "SLR" entry uses SugoiV4 on port 14366.

Oh yeah, this is maybe last question before I finished translate this game, at the part where I need to fix the cells, I get the result of that "SHISAYE", so I did search it and found the translation. (got 4). So what do I do with it? I did read the error explanation, especially the one that "nothing burger" aside of translation error? Do I need to delete that translation entirely from the column "Initial Correction", or I just delete the SHISAYE word from "Initial Correction", or I just leave it there and continue to proceed to next step?

If there's nothing wrong with the "Initial Translations" cell just delete the "Initial Corrections" one.

What do the errors actually say?
What engine?
What game are we talking about?
For the error: that menu (Devtools) that I show you just "pop up" everytime I went to the menu (right click)
On that menu, if I check, there're 4 errors?

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

For Engine: RPG Maker MZ
For game :

I did try to run the game before adding the translation files, that "devtools" did not triggered when I went for the menu (right click)
But after I patch it, that "devtools" got triggered everytime I went for the menu (right click).

Not sure why. Because while translating, I dont really press or change anything that dont rec in the tutorial.

=================================================================

Update : I will try redo all the step from the beginning.

Looks like a plugin issue, but since it's MZ it could be pretty much anywhere. Do you have a download link for the latest version of the game 1.01.?

Checking AS atm, no updated version. Maybe I will wait for the update version and retry it. I will try this redo one, see if anything change..

I tried on my end and I can see no issues with the menu.
I assume you didn't look at the green cells in plugins even though you agreed to do that in the popup saying that it will load plugins.

A few of the cells have random code in them that isn't recognized by the system, but includes Japanese so was tagged green anyway.
I know there's an argument to be made that I should tag that yellow, but then most people will never translate any of it and more often than not it's actually tagged correctly, and that's why that popup exists that specifically says that they need to be manually checked.
Just get rid of cells like this and the menu will work correctly:
1.png
In general when you're translating MV/MZ stuff and something crashes first assume it's one of the cells in plugins causing it.
If you don't see anything obvious just get rid of random ones until it works.
I can't really fix that because devs can write new plugins however they feel like...

Also I'm really confused about your question regarding error codes earlier, because all 4 of those cells are actually broken. 3 of them have an extra "\" that somehow got made by Sugoi and needs to be removed and one cell is actually already broken in the original Japanese cell, has a random "\" and you need to get rid of it. (The dev had a typo I guess.)

Edit: I'm gonna prevent it from tagging things green in the future if the Japanese only exists after a "\\" . This is actually the first time I've seen it done like that in plugins so it's super rare, but it makes no sense that it can be tagged green.

Hello everyone, I have a question that's maybe not related, but I'm trying to translate the game Sword Art Online: The Trap of Breath Concealed Magic [Part 2 v0.601] from English to Vietnamese (my native language) using a special tool for vietnamese(not this tool), and the tool I used facing the following issue:

The files starting with /dac... end up with the text merged together after translation. However it should have spaces, like in the original English version on the right side. Because of this, the first letter in the translated version is often missing.

So, im really want to know that is there anyway to use SLR to edit it so that each word has a space after /dac without being merged?

If I do it manually(press space every /dac... line), it would take a whole month; this game has hundreds of thousands of words.

Tks for reading

SLR Translator actually gives you different options for that.
First method would be using the Search menu you get if you do ctrl+f.
If you really just want to add a space, just switch to the "replace" tab and put in
Code:
"\dac"
Code:
"\dac "
(without quotes)
And then just click replace all, and every entry will have a space behind it.
If you now notice that some now have 2 or more spaces, simply do
Code:
"\dac "
Code:
"\dac "
(without quotes)
a couple of times to make sure there's only 1 space behind it.

For more complex problems regex is your friend.
When it comes to automated translations Regular Expressions are extremely important and can do hours of work in a few seconds.
I highly recommended learning that if you are planning to do more translations.
Here's a tester for it:

You can use regex on everything using the ctrl+f menu if you check the regex option.
If you want to use regex only on specific objects like only on plugins you can use a custom script.
Mark the objects you want to modify, rightclick one, choose create custom script, on row level.
In the new menu click on the drop down menu and you should see a script called "blank.js".
That already includes a template for running a replacer on all the cells. Just fill in your regex substitution and run the script.

Hi ,I'm back
I follow your guide but when i click replace,it said that Found nothing to replace
Don't know why , I checked again,it seem that I had typed it correctly
Like this
I think the reason might be that the folder is too large, and the search function can't keep up.
Anyone know how to fix it ?
Here is my error /dac... data folder too, someone can try to fix it on your device too
tks for reading
