Well, i'm back from vacation and had time to continue with the parts i didn't play yet.
I did a WW one, and found it both dissapointing, generic, cliche and frustrating. I found it dissapointing in the sense that their characters seems boring with the leader being a manipulating money grubbing asshole trying to look reputable in a world of barbarians, a bookworm kid with no talent hiding it from her father, the loveable haughty bitch that her dad cant get rid of and the basic moderate looking drunk choosen hero girl. The WW specific story bit was for me the most plain. Go back to the cave, find Astrja's mom is a godess is pretty meh. I did take a liking to Mathilda and breaking her, but she will only be pursued in the evil route. In this path, Sonja also lost some respect with the stupid matching outfits and sadly she chose the WW as her new faction. As for the frustrating part, it is with the sex scenes. I found it very annoying that the first Lizgard scene is in this route and that in the DR route i don't have it yet, just the tease. I also found it frustrating that WW get 1 of the 2 Sonja scenes as an exclusive. I understand that most likely those same scenes will appear later on as the chapter release is stagger in per faction and can cause the player to see some event results before the event happened, but seeing a girl get her scene out of faction first was a let down.
I felt that i was missing a lot of BB content after playing all 3 paths (played Sonja), until i re-read the changelog and saw that the whole update was the evil route. Why do i even call it the evil route? In this setting, i could easily just call it the real Viking route. I guess the cannon is BB=evil, WW=good and DR=neutral, so i decided to take the plunge and do it. And i actually enjoyed it a lot. I liked BB the best and i loved that through all the factions scheming, Candrid's will to do whatever's needed to achieve her goals placed her on top to outmaneuver the other leaders. I also loved that her plan basically started pretty early in game. Using knowledge from the future to give your faction an edge was a great addition to the game. I also was very suprised with how Candrid proves to you that you are her King and not only a tool by giving the MC her virginity. It was very sweet and appreciated and gave me a different view on the character and her motivations. I also am intrigued on who poisonned Thorsten. Was it the inn girl? It couldnt be an accident, as no one else got poisonned from the bottle. Only thing i liked less is that while it's the harem path, you have no choice. I would have loved a Candrid solo route, but all the sex refusal choices make you loose Candrid points. I didn't play the 1st game so i don't know if the evil route will only fuck you over by loosing or getting betrayed, or if by having high scores it will let you have the conqueror's ending with your Queen.
I liked this path the most. For some reason, it reminded me of one of my favorite game in the early 2000's on the playstation, Brigandine. My favorite ruler was Dryst, the mad king. Is whole point of joining the war was because he tought it would be fun. And after you conquered the map, the end game was him redistributing all the conquered castles to his generals and restarting the war for the fun of it. Candrid reminded me of that character for some reason. I hope i will be able to stay with my wife and not just magically dissapear in another portal when the dev's next game, rainstorm, firestorm or whatever storm comes. I dont know how the 1st game ended, but having the same MC jump from game to game would suck, unless in the dev's last game you could choose to pick where and with whom to go back to end your life with.
How i can see/assume/imagine the game story going forward? Based on each main girl's magical item, it gives me these hints as far as progression. I also assume that whichever side you aligned with will have a good and a bad ending. With the WW, you end up winning the war because of the power of the gods and the freezing axe. When they loose, i can see their main characters exiled or taking refuge with another king to plot their revenge. I see the DR winning the "cheap" way with a few OP magical creatures summoned by the lightning staff. I can see them dissapearing in the night never to be seen again if the odds are not with them. Nox is the archetype communist leader. Everyone is kept the same, at the lowest level with no say, no possession, no identity, no goal except being obedient cattle waiting for instruction, while she sits in her tower surrounded with luxury. With the BB, it will be the most akin to the Viking way, conquering with sheer numbers with the Claw to control Draugr, the eager communists wanting in the capitalism and joys of life, the throwaway illeterate drones, and their few elite warriors. Their loss will come from Candrid's bad move having picked the idiot fisherman as her King bossing her around and deciding is own stuff and ignoring her.
Every side is setup now with 1 girl from each tribe to "legitimize" any end game possibilities. For now, i dont understand picking any girls other than the main 3 for a real ending. You basically have the main faction girl that advance the stories (Candrid, Nox, Astrja), the romantic girl that you charm or break (Yrsa, Lizgard, Mathilda) and the useless sex scene filler girls (Sonja, Katja and Astrid). My old tier list has evolved this way.
Sonja
Nox
Lizgard
Candrid

Candrid

Now, the long 3x time wait for the next BB chapter.
