It sounds more like your performance isnt good
Controls are old 2D fighting game style and its doing a good job at that, most people would say.

If you use an "older" Nvidia grafic card, its possible that it selects the in-built grafic card and you need to select your actual grafic card manually.

Update your drivers and see if you got odd settings for this game

More like classical 2D Beat-Em-Up ones, you get to move "up" and "down" to a degree besides the jumps.

I'm tempted, but version 0.9 had that bug (for myself and a few others) that would mysteriously soft lock the game. It being fixed was not specifically in the 1.0 patch notes. I'm happy to buy this if the bug is fixed, but no way am I dropping $20 until I know I can actually finish the game.

You can take my path of making a second steam account for the porn games. Steam actually makes it really easy to switch back and forth between multiple accounts on the same computer these days, so it's barely a hassle at all. Just two clicks and boom, you're in your other account.

the camera flys away from the sex scenes everytime they start. works fine when playing just the keyboard but it does this with the controller.

Can confirm with 0.9.2. Even when pressing un-mapped buttons. Very odd.

As far as I know yes.
I never experienced this bug as it was related to some joysticks (and didn't happen with mine). But I haven't heard from that issue again after I implemented the fix, so it is fixed, but I'm unsure if for everyone.
