"Art" is in a very weird spot right now.
Of course you can demand any price for your product as you see fit, but you should also realize that you might want to adjust your business-prices when potential customers say "I won't buy it for that price".
The issue that you are racing against competition in form of AI. Sooner or later someone will copy or imitate your style and print out that stuff for a couple of bucks, 5 pieces a day and will drive you completely out of business, safe from a couple of loyal customers that hate AI just out of principle.
And just another couple of years away from that point anyone will be able to create their own "animated smut" within 5 minutes themselves.
No matter if you like it or not, we're already heading in that direction, in fact you can see some pretty impressive results on your usual sites already.
You really want to make profit while you still can instead of concerning yourself with leaks.
The people who ain't subscribed to you and want the leaks probably wouldn't subscribe to you anyways for various reasons.
Don't be tonedeaf, get as many people on board with an lucrative businessmodel as possible and enjoy it.
Ironically, the "Art" that they're animating literally already *is* AI.
It was never about the money. Which honestly has me confused since they're not even using their own ai model. So any form of "I own this content" is baffling. Keep in mind they said it was for their living expenses then immediately shut anyone off from buying further content. Seems counter productive if they REALLY needed a buck.

My issue with samoto is his ego. The guy got talent. He could easily become one of the biggest artist. quitting? hah like the world gonna end if he quits. gooners are just gonna find something else to goon on. instead of just being chill and build a huge fan base that support him. like the other big artists. be so big leaks won't even harm you because people wanna support you. he decided to let his ego kick in. yes we get it. you are one of the first people who figured out how to use Ai assisted animation but bro treating that fact like he is the only one on the planet that can do that. basically no competition that can push him currently. but soon enough. they will rise and people will forget about him.
Then he should make easier to purchase. Like I for one was fine with purchasing a patreon spot for a month, get the videos I was interested in, NOT LEAKING ANYTHING, and then just moving on with my life. But no, as soon as I find out about Somato, all the tiers have spots that have been filled up for a while and the timeframe he releases things publicly with a price tag is unreasonable for the AI animated AI art he's making (something that reasonably not worth the original 40 dollars people were seeing).
Sure, opening your patreon would invite people posting on here, but at the end of the day, you are also shooting yourself in the foot by keeping out people would have still support you for a reasonable price regardless (the 15 for uncensored is way more reasonable than the original 40 and I know for a fact there would be people would support them while still being present on this site and the amount pirating it would be less if it was just a more reasonable price to begin with).
So yeah, someone leaks Mori and Kronii, am I gonna feel bad if you quit? Not really, I sympathize a bit but at the end of the day, it seems like everytime you were passed a shovel and told to dig, you dug and dug and dug.
Could have kept it open or released it on itch sooner, could have been more chill about the audience on f95zone, have more reasonable prices on patreon, not make a conscious effort to have content put here removed, all while having this crazy job security mentality about AI art that you didn't make that your using AI to help you animate.

Listen, Somato does clean animation and all but being this picky over animation made with AI generated pictures? Is unreasonable, the source is ai, not handmade or similar, the IP are not yours.
Fight this hard against leakers is a lost cause, they have much more energy than you and fuel the motivations against you only ends in you with burn out and/or fatigue; "nothing bring people together like a common enemy" -someone... Idk lol
And, he thinks he will be ahead of the market forever? Let time pass and people find this "unexplored" market and how much money they could make with a bit of work (learn live2d or other editor and a decent ai generator), to then see 'creators' spawn posting lot more consistently than you, or, AI will continue to improve to generate videos costing a fraction of his Patreon. THAT will make him quit because he would make no money, not the leakers, the best thing he could do is focus to always be on the top and stand out compared to the competition (in both qual and quant) but I don't think he sees the big picture like that. Just "me a legit creator vs leakers who make me earn no money"

u know Somato isn't the only one who good using AI support, there's this guy that mostly using Touhou Character and he is appear long time ago compared to Somato, i won't say who he is just search on Touhou Character related corn u will definitely found it since he is that's Good(iirc most people couldn't tell that he is using Ai until he said so)

Sure, I'm not saying the VA is bad or anything, I just prefer no or low amounts of voice lines. I still like the futa on girl animations though that's why I subscribed to futanari_shrine.
Now if only I could sub to Somato too, that would be nice, I really want that Kronii animation... those previews are killing me, the voice acting is so good. lol
