While I still find the lack of public communication unacceptable, he does put in a lot of code each release.
I don't have any direct insight into the release date or content, but he told me a while back he was working on something 'big' and is aware he can't go too long without shipping something.
Based on his few Patreon posts, this could be anything from revamped gameplay to VR. Or we get a 'fall back' release with minor improvements because whatever things he tried didn't pan out. We can run a poll... your guesses are as good as mine.
I plan to release a new version of Monkey about a week after game release. This of course will depend on how many things broke. So far the release contains several bug fixes, improvement for custom scenes lighting and keys will no longer activate Monkey when you are in a modal popup (like save).
