Hey guys!

The name's Vins.
Being inspired by Darktoz games and some other I'm making my own. The game is similar in content to "CbDE" or "The Asylum", but in a setting of MadMax, a bit of Stalker, etc. So, need some advice.

1. Should I make futadom content avoidable?
It'll be a lot of unavoidable femdom in my game, including hard. I believe there is a special charm in such situations in which MC cannot control what is done with him. I would like to understand how many people are into femdom but cannot tolerate futadom.

2. Should I make chastity for MC avoidable?
The main route include permanent and most of scenes will be rendered with this device . I could make alternative route without, but it's a double work and will delay the release.

It's a semi-openworld game made on RPG Maker MV. Will have minimum grind and standard for RPGM battles, but a lot of (I hope) interesting quests and features. All erotic scenes will be rendered. I'll try to make some animations too.
Looks like one of the features will be my engrish xD. Sorry for that, I'll do my best translating the story. Maybe I'll find English speaking editor later, when the first episode will be ready.

Personally I wouldn't call myself a lover of femdom but I find it nice.

However it's important to know that just because a person likes femdom they don't like all forms of it. Femdom is kind of a really global fetish same as maledom or even NTR.

Having said that I believe that the beauty of submissive fetishes is fighting against it or submit (be it voluntarely or forced). In that sense I kind of liked monster girl quest, because you get defeated and then raped and humilliated.

But well going to the main point:

-Be it futanari or chastity or any other "fetish within femdom that may be heavy for some people" it is kind of nice to add an additional gate in some sense. Overall a game that focus on femdom it's totally acceptable to have the women on top and push the MC around if they can, but to be as accessible as possible it would be nice to find a way for players to evade some heavy content.

A few ways to do it are for example those in which they have a combat system so that you can fight back and being defeated you get that content, another could be that while the girls are dominant they become more dominant depending on certain events and things like that, letting the player try to fight off that they go towards the extreme.

1.Personally I can take it.;) But for most of my life it would have been a hard limited. So I would make it avoidable. If you won't make it avoidable, give at least options for the MC to react to it in certain ways. So at least leave it to the player how MC would like or hate it.

2. If you go straights for femdom, I see no reason why you should make it avoidable. A good sub only cares about the orgasm of his Mistress anyway. ;)

General advice. Try to give options how the MC reacts to different things. Like would he be a willing or unwilling sub, what kind of fetishes would be a turn on or not. Writing work would be more because of that of course, but I think it would be worth it.

Well, I dont mind femdom, so and so. I honestly really do like it, but there is a line. I hate degredation and pain in all aspects, through and through. And oddly enough, most games that state femdom only contain those aspects of the fetish, so I rarely play any of them. Its so over done by now, that i mostly just skip the tag altogether.

But more to your requests, it really really depends on what your plans are.
If you have an unvilling setting, you shouldnt have gates. Its the point of the game. If its entered willingly, do have some gates. Here chastity would be a good gate fx.
There is also the question of how hard you plan the femdom to be. Hard, whats the point of gates. Mellow, do gate it.

Besides that, futadom, while i like it. Some dont, and its nothing to do with the femdom aspect at all, but rather sexual preference. Some deem it gay, some dont. Some dont care what so ever (and then you have the terminology trolls that differentiate futa/shemales and gets annoyed at you for not being on point). So to get the best spread, you would want to gate it... again if things are unwilling/hard femdom, you can ignore as you wish and not gate it (game integrity), but overall: futa is a sexual preference most of the time, rather than just a fetish.
So before setting a question like this, ask yourself whats your vision of the game. After that, the questions usually arent questions anymore.

With these contents it´s usually better to give the player the option of choosing, to avoid complaints, even though Darktoz games don´t really give much option to the players related with scenes and they produce good games of that kind, of course, if you want to go extreme, like guro scenes and stuff like that, you should consider allow players to block that stuff.

I mean, was the Spanish inquisition just BDSM play? They whipped people and stuck things up their butt, am I to assume that replacing an inquisitor with a woman suddenly makes a hentai game?

I thought BDSM was all about turning a person into a sex toy, which is why all of the femdom games I came across had a lot of sex and cunnilingus, but it was decided by the woman and mostly with either her on top or doing none of the work.

I've seen some where the male was tied up or even where a vibrator was up his butt either during or prior to sex(to keep him "ready" at any time) but I've never seen something so extreme where sex was off the table. The only time I saw it was in an NTR game which was being advertised as a swinging. It was called "Swing and Miss" which was basically a guy and his wife wanted to steal the MC's wife from him to use her as their play thing.
So, they proposed swinging to the MC and his wife, the MC thought it would be an even trade, he would have sex with this new girl while she had sex with the other guy. Instead, the husband corrupted the MC's wife's mind, and his wife kept the MC locked in chastity under the guise of femdom.
In the end they reveal that the MC was never desired in the relationship, in reality, the other husband tried to throw him a bone, but no matter how hard he tried, the other husband couldn't convince his wife to have sex with the MC, so they came up with the femdom plan. But despite never getting laid once, the MC still gave them enough time to completely corrupt his wife and his wife was stolen away.

That's the only example that came to mind, but I have seen several hentai in which the femdom was featured but it always involved sex, but Swing and Miss is simply an act to buy time until they can enact their plan. The only person who I can imagine getting off to that is someone who will masturbate with a 12 gauge under his jaw because he finds thoughts of pulling the trigger to be arousing.

I changed that sentence you quoted because thinking back, I can't think of any other femdom scenarios in which the girl never has sex with the guy.

That being said, maybe it's just what is translated, because the opposite doesn't seem to hold true in terms of stuff aimed at the S guys like myself, most male dom is either light teasing or malicious torture with very little in-between. I have searched high and low and could only find a handful of examples of normal S that aren't just dirty talk: one route from "The Ditzy Demons are in Love with ME," once scene from "Love Cube," "Tsundere Idol," and one scene from "Imouto Ijime." All of which are very light on content and what few bondage scenes they do have tend to be pretty vanilla. For example: Tsundere idol is simply vanilla sex with a leash and collar. Everything else seems to start at Euphoria and go up from there.

Not that they don't exist, in fact if you check vndb you'll find a ton, problem is none are translated. When I see an S&M relationship, no matter which point it is taken from, I want to see through actions that these are people who actually don't hate each other than this is simply an act put on for fetish purposes. In other words both parties are enjoying it, the "mind break" is retarded and just an excuse, if I'm watching male dom I want to see a woman who wants to be an M, not who is subjected to pain so horrible that it warps her mind and the game being like "look, she enjoys it, see?" It kind of falls in the same vein as the hyponsis ones who try to convince the audience that a hypnotized woman has found true love because the MC hypnotized her.

In my mind it's not a femdom when girl in a dark leather pushes guy on the bed and "dominantly" sucks his dick, like a few slaps on the ass while fucking your girlfriend is not a maledom.

I have stories for two VN games, going to make them on Unity later. For now it's too much done for this game to change the platform.

What is done already:
- Scenario;
- All maps;
- Almost all quests and features;
- Almost all characters.
What is left to do:
- Write all dialogues in English (the hardest part for me);
- Render scenes.

Have decided to make the most extreme SM scenes skipable. Something like MC would be able to pass out with fear before action, with consequences in the form of trolling from girls later... Chastity will be unavoidable.

Haven't decided what to do with futas yet. According to the scenario almost half of the characters are futas. There are many plot moments in which they dominate the MC in not H scenes. It's easy to make H scenes avoidable/skipable, but I can't make other interactions avoidable. In my view, if I considered futa content is a gay thing, it would be unacceptable for me to tolerate humiliation or any domination from them too (even in dialogues).
Looks like including both hard femdom and futa content will significantly narrow the target audience of the game, but I actually creating the game because I want to create games, not just for money... Never mind, just thinking out loud.

1 and 2. You are CREATOR. You decide by yourself what is avoidable, what is not in your game. You have this right and must use it. Whatever community tells now, there will always be different point of views.

Mate in the end it's your choice how to do it, the only reason why I don't defend unavoidable things is because it kind of kills the feeling of being a game, personally I enjoy power-fights in a relationship, meaning a fight for who is dominant.

However another thing is that the MC is put in a submissive position and is forced upon it, overall for those that would feel bad related to the scene what you could do is just be able to skip the scene but it happened, if people can't tolerate even that then they are in the wrong game.

But well if it's a femdom game it's a femdom game, it just isn't made for people like me but rather people that truly love femdom, and that's okay, just do what you feel is right.

I disagree, a game is not just art, it is a product, it isn't just a form of self expression, but is for the enjoyment of the end user as well. Now, if you want to make a shitty game that nobody likes then more power to you, just don't expect people to praise you because you chose to "express yourself as a creator" rather than create something the players can enjoy.

Innovation requires a creator that tries something different, a concept, if you let the players tell you what to do they will just want the creator to do a copy of similar games and nothing else.

It's true that just because it's something new and different it doesn't mean that it is good or enjoyable, but it is much better than doing just another copy paste without a soul.

However something more interesting is, the player's opinnion vary a lot, for example let's say NTR, you will get the following opinnions:

-Yay, I want it unavoidable
-Okay, but I hope it isn't unavoidable
-Hope it is optional and I don't have to deal with it
-Where can I turn it off?
-Shit, why waste time adding something like that?! NTR fucks all games in which it appears.

What group would you support as a creator?, overall this is a choice that you have as a developer. It doesn't matter which choice you take in the end you can't satisfy everyone.

Then we get those people that say "all fetishes should be optional in a game", that is the worst opinnion ever, first of all there are circunstances at which scenes shouldn't be optional, for example being defeated by an enemy and having the character raped is one, plots that are developing and that you don't solve soon enough is another one, overall conflicts require action and the lack of it is a reason for something to happen.

A creator needs to take many choices, a lot, they can try to make a game really appealing to certain groups by focusing on certain fetishes (femdom, NTR, harem, maledom, sissification...), try to be more dynamic and get fetishes involved on the game (stats, circunstances and missions having an effect on the scenes you get) or just try to make everything optional.

So no, a game should be a form os self expression, a concept that a developer tries to offer to the players, however the players seeing that concept they are free to say "it's good" or "it's bad".

It could be either, both or none, it depends on the story.

I do have one concern though:

Although I don't hate RPGM persé, one of it's major drawbacks is that it not possible to skip seen content. Any replay will cost the same amount of time as the first playthrough. This is a major disadvantage for games which are too much branching. So if a player choses to avoid certain content, he can't undo that choice later on. Meaning that you are spending a lot of work for nothing.

In Renpy, it is possible to do a second playthrough, skip all seen content, and only see the new content (provided there is not so much of guess-the-room-which-the-girl-is-in-at-8-in-the-morning sandbox thingies).
