Iirc, Trouble In Paradise kinda allows it. Don't want to get heavy on detail here for spoiler reasons, but basically you have a gf you loved more than anyone, ever, and she loved you, supposedly... but then she dumps you for the most popular guy in school, and I think literally years later she apologizes and wants to date you again, and you can be like, "Sure" or "Fuck you." and then you fuck her brains out for revenge, but refuse to get back with her. She's just your cum dump. (My memory typically sucks, so I may not be fully remembering, but I'm like 90% sure that's how it was)

I've noticed a trend with devs releasing a "Chapter 1" or "initial release" (of a not even 25% complete game) and calling it 1.0. And I really wish it would stop. Idk if it's meant to be misleading, I suspect it is, but 1.0 shouldn't be used for something that's basically just a proof of concept before continuing the story.

Like I get people can version their own software however they want, but why do it in a way that's just going to be confusing to everyone else.

Yeah.
Saw 1.0 and was surprised than a English dev released a finished game. That almost never happens. It's always slow drops of updates, while getting Patreon money.
And its the same here again.
