Actually, that's a good idea - I wasn't using img2img, I was just using straight text2img which uses only the trained models and text prompts rather than a reference 'starter' image. Using those images and converting them in img2img is much more likely to work. I'll give it a go later!

Sorry, forgot to come back to this - I gave it a go and it didn't work. Results were actually worse.

Saw this thread and thought I'd give it a try. I've liked what others have been posting, so after a couple tutorials, here's my batch. The more I seem to tweak with the images the further away I get from the Something Unlimited style, but it's definitely a tool I'll be playing with again in the future.

As for the prompt, I started making styles for the individual characters.
Wonder woman for instance: score_9, score_8_up, score_7_up, score_6_up, 1girl, wonder woman, blue eyes, red lipstick, long black hair, tiara star, large breasts, big hips, <lora:SunsetRiders7v2:1>
Then I just add whatever actions to the prompt, generate a bunch of samples, scale one up to the desired size, and spend some time inpainting typical trouble areas like the eyes, mouth, or whatever.
I'm learning like anybody else, but that's pretty much my workflow for now.
