What would be the best way to edit? Like would it be better to edit through the PSDs or through the individual assets?
Sorry if my response is not completely clear.
Using the assets gives you more freedom to play around. You can create psd or xcf templates and then swap out different character heads and backgrounds. Regardless of what editing software you use, all you have to do is select an image (like Zatanna's sex pose) open it up and remove the background. Then choose another characters head (like Nyssa) cut it out and resize it. Then just place it over Zatannas head and you're good to go.
Some additional tips for anyone -
- When you cut the background out, it can sometimes leave a thin but noticeable outline, like when you cut out a solid grey background. In order to reduce it you need to make sure that there are no openings or thin areas in the black outline so you get a mostly clean cutout. Unfortunately a lot of Sunsets newer art has thinner outlines in comparison to his older stuff.
- Try to avoid resizing an asset too much or it'll become lower quality.
- Use the crop tool to select the portion of an asset you want (like a head) so you don't have to clean out the whole image just to get one part of it.
