is power girl in the game yet? if so can you fuck power girl?
Is she supposed to be in the game? I can't remember the JLA very well, but was power girl part of that universe? I mean I don't care and Power Girl is awesome but I don't know what rules this game goes by lore wise.

It would be funny to technically have three people with the exact same DNA in the game though.

Hello everyone.

I am a current Mod on the SU Discord (I go by Sinestro)

Starting in 2018 we are going to try to be more vocal outside The Patreon page and Discord. Call it more outreach.
SmokeShank (The other half of SunsetRiders7) will also start posting around here.

To start things out these are the current things being added in this month's SU build. Directly from the bearded face of Sunset himself.

- Metallo's cell accessible in the prison
- Roulette's prison intro not appearing
- Batgirl's Older costume unlocking in private room
- Starfire in the stables leading to blank screen
- Cheshire sometimes having a black screen when entering her cell
- Camera locking up in older vault sections
- Finished switching most of the dialog to the shorter dialog boxes
- Replaced most of the posing system
- Most of the Heist system replaced
- A lot of GUIs in the game replaced or fixed

This was all done last month and Sunset still has a whole month extra to work on things before dropping the build. Sunset will start streaming this week as well as dropping the HD Asset Pack before the week ends.

Everytime Sunset finishes a Stream I will post the finished result here for those that missed it. Just as promised I will be adding the finished BlackFire artwork Sunset finished last month. Many have possibly seen it already but no harm in adding it to this post.

Hopefully 2018 means we grow as a Community. Any questions you shoot them my way or towards SmokeShank. We will answer them as best we can while still following the rules Sunset has laid down for us.

Here's to 2018!

The game is based on DCAU. The DCAU version of PG is Galatea, a Supergirl clone. The comic version is not in the game, although, visually, the two are very similar.

It's cool to see you and SmokeShank posting around here, but to be honest, I'll wait and see if the content improves. Actions speak louder than words, and the lackluster content and abandoning old girls + always introducing new ones have been common complaints for ages.

Hopefully at least you and SmokeShank can pass along bugs faster, some of them have been in the game for a long time. Harley's costume menu for example was still buggy as of the previous version, requiring you to Alt+F4 out of the game. And considering she hasn't had content added in ages, that bug's been around a long time.

Hello everyone.
....
I don't feel a strong need to support most games on patreon, since they're just not very good. This, Four Elements Trainer, and a couple of other on the other hand are a head above the rest and deserve the attention they receive, possibly even more.

That out of the way, I kinda have to agree with RT567. The very slow progress, persistent bugs and ESPECIALLY the abandonment of old girls just turn me off. Don't get me wrong, I have fell in love with Galatea; Starfire and Blackfire have always been some of my favorites; also raven. But I'm also head over heels for Mercy who really isn't getting any love.

I'm completely willing, and planning, to get the $20 pack, non recurring, because the game deserves that. But getting even the $10 reward, recurring, for the two years the game would presumably be ready (that's ~$240) is a lot of money - in my humble opinion.

I'd still be completely willing to do that (essentially buy the game for over $200, even though that could buy me 10-20 great games on gog), but only if things change. First of all, bugs ... bugs that are not system specific, or user specific, no they're 100% repeatable. Second of all, abandoning old girls is also not acceptable. Adding more and more is not a solution, except for reeling in more suckers patrons.

Sorry if this sounds too negative, but it comes from a place of love.

EDIT: I'd just like to say one thing, my favorite part of the game - this won't apply to everyone else, but hey, I'd still like to express this thought - is the dialog. Call me crazy, but if I want to get off, I can find better ways. I'd love if the game just had more talking bits, way more in fact. Doesn't even need new art unless you want to make a special moment.

Another idea: More story progression on the same animations. I could watch Roulette's sex animation many - many more times (it's the best thing in the game), but without new text, it's just stale porn. NOTE - if you do go this direction, you need more feedback on "will this progress the story?", "Can the story even progress any more at all?", "Can it still progress, but not as of yet because maybe I need to progress in other areas?".

EDIT2: Actually, now that I've thought about this for a bit, I'd like to add a couple of thoughts.

This game is essentially a visual novel. Sure, it has more you can do, it's not the usual japanese type (text for hours -> decision -> text for hours), but the erotic sections are just [ text over art ].

From the above mentioned PoV, japanese VNs have mastered this form of game. The art is very very very important, but it's not everything. It's the dialogue, it's the story, it's the moment and how it progresses, it's the characters, it's the relationships.

I personally, as of now, am in love with: Roulette, Galatea, Mercy, Batgirl, Star Girl, Miss Martian, Blackfire.

Out of the above, only one stands out. Batgirl! Why? She has barely any story and she has no real personality. But she has the private room. That shit is amazing! But, it requires a lot of art and let's be honest, that's the bottle-neck.

Compared to Batgirl - Star Gril and Miss Martian have way less content, yet they are absolutely oozing personality. Just more story with them, more of their personality, more interactions, getting to know them better, tease them more. It doesn't require art. What does Star Gril have? 3 dance scenes? I also dislike dances the most, or rather like them the least. Yet I still love Star Gril.

Back to my favorites, Galatea is just purely amazing, her story and how you get to know her. The fact that this is in no way an incest game, but the taboo / kinkyness of her calling you "Daddy" despite no biological ties at all. Her friendship with Harley and her animosity with Super Girl. It's gold, all gold.

Roulette starts of as a money hungry whore who will go to any lengths to get her way, but later you see that she might just actually be a deep character. Just trough in a "she actually has a reason for wanting money", like being sold in slavery, or dirt poor, give her a reason to believe that money will fix all her problems, throw in some teasing or a few lines that might suggest she's kinda in love with lex, and we have another pure gold character.

Mercy is clearly in love with Lex, but it's a really complex relationship. She is amazing, she has personality, she has likes and dislikes, she gets jealous ... she is a real character, a person - if you will. If I could get anything I wanted from this game, I'd also make some love routs of sorts with your henchwomen and roulette. Not the heroes or the villains, but with the "important" ones. A love route with Mercy, and a hatefuck / cumdump with her, where she loves you but you just use her.

Oh man, this game has potential, but it's not used. I will say it one more time: More character, more personality, more text.

I'm not saying less art, but I'm willing to say this would be a route to loads of more quality content with not a lot of effort. Just, you know, put effort in the writing.

EDIT 3: I just can't stop it seems.

When Galatea comes to taunt Supergirl, or when Ceshire taunts her sister, adding some dialogue in case the taunters are naked would be an awesome interaction, no new art required. Just my 2¢

The older the character the harder it is to get the personalities right that and I don't think SR7 is going in and rewatching batman the animated series. (tho the latest Harley quinn movie in that line up is hilarious but will piss hardcore fans off. as it makes references to campy era batman henchmen) more recent series are easier to find personality wise, besides the bulk of Barbara's personality development for the DCAU happened in Batman Beyond, and the Death of Joker which again not sure SR7 watched.

that and it's tough to pin down and exact time line thanks to the inclusion of Characters like Starfire who also Dated Nightwing, being depicted in her time as fighting with robin as the leader. (the god awful teen titans go makes a few jabs at this fact, thank god it's not a canon series.)

Edit1: I think had SR7 played with some of the costumes like starfires being a more of a mashup it'd be less confusing and allow for an easier time to write a good story without chronological hiccups.

that being said there's plent of time based villians in the DC. if an easy way out were to be taken.

I just had a long meeting with SR7 and am able to communicate more with you now. I know this month he overhauled several systems in the game to make it run better and less buggy. He wanted to do these for a while but when content is king, people don't want to pledge to a systems overhaul month. As far as actions speak louder than words, I completely agree, wait and see. I don't want your pledge unless you feel strongly about supporting the development of this project. Lastly we will be communicating better with everyone inside and outside our Patreon moving forward. There will be roadmap which will target older characters, and we will work towards finishing those.

I can understand the frustration regarding the "slow" progress. Please remember that this is a one person project not 6 like summertime saga, or even 2 like MITY. But with that aside I want to say that the older characters were never abandoned, what happened is they go to a state of needing animations. Adding those animations (which people loved initially) was they add a significant time sink (upwards of 2 weeks per) to development. When you only have roughly 2.5 weeks a month to get content in you reach for the low lying fruit in order to get something out the door. This was a mistake and we are aware of that. Moving forward we will be adding simpler animations to finish off characters (flip book style) and then when time permits go back and complete those that can be completed. Thank you for taking the time to write all that up, it really helps us get better.

Just wish SR7 would do more with robotics lab at a later date, just saying there are some interesting characters and interactions to be had. Darci Mason, Randa Duane, replica's of other characters.

If this game ever has an event that introduces older Starfire and Raven or ever includes characters like Jinx and Argent and if both artist would be willing to collab, Starfire&Raven1.jpg Wilko does some nice Raven/Starfire/Jinx/Argent art.

Wow I’d be incredibly disappointed if that kind of art made it into this game.

There are plenty of things another person could work on to ease the work load without compromising the game, but mixing multiple art styles would be garbage.

so against this as you are mention distinct art styles that differ greatly from the Aesthetic the game goes for, go watch JL, JLU, Batman the Animated Series(or any of it's movies) , Superman the Animated Series, or Batman Beyond all of them have a very distinct art style that they all use hell Young Justice picks up the art style and so does Teen Titans to some regards, the only two DCAU series that really don't follow the style so great are Project Zeta and Static Shock, but I think this is because they were more their own content rather then pre-established and that they are far more light hearted and also probably cheaper animation budgets as they were both created during the dying years of saturday morning cartoons.

tho as far as Static shock goes not sure how light hearted a cartoon is when half the school is either Bullies or some kind of wannabe gangster...

Ever since Sunset implemented the Events system, he can now do a wide assortment of things without being bogged down by the current SU system of the Bordello, Cells, etc.

While he plans on doing an event every so and so update, you guys will be seeing more characters join in. This was the main point of the Events system. Basically do things that would otherwise seem a bit weird in the main SU story.

At the end of this month you will see a lot of things that flow better but the build that is coming in April will be the update that Sunset wants to make the best he can. You will all be getting a lot of Streams and you will be getting the first Roadmap. The April update if everything works out right, will really showcase what a 2 month build can bring.

Sunset should be streaming either today or tomorrow. Canadian internet is very...shitty. So keep an eye out for that.

Stay tuned until the end of the month for more news outside of Streams.

Take care!

DCAU was basically created by Bruce Timm, the later stuff all built on what he started. Even if he wasn't the main artist he was basically the overlord of everything animated for DC, so as other artists came in they all emulated his style to make all the different shows/movies feel like they were a part of the same universe.

DCAU does not incorporate all DC Animated Projects just certain ones. mostly around Warner Bros Afternoon animation block and JL and JLU which sent to Cartoon network, still kind of bitter that Batman beyond ended early because of JL despite being the second most critically acclaimed & Awarded series in the DCAU. tho I keep purposely leaving out Gotham Girls from the DCAU cause A UGH... , B. it really doesn't add anything to discussion except some throwaway characters, C. Worst Animation out of the lot of them you can tell this one was cobbled together on the smallest Budget which isn't a surprise since it's blasted web cartoon.

so the following are the DCAU
Batman: Tas, it's sequel that everyone automatically lumps in with it The New Batman Adventures, Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (loads of refrences to this in the original show), Batman & Mr. Freeze: Sub Zero (the Theatrical Finale for TAS before TNBA was made), Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman(takes place before the Flashback events of Return of the Joker, but after the three part episode Starcrossed in JL but before the episode Initiation in JLU) Batman & Harley Quinn (Bruce Timm says it is part of the DCAU the studio has failed to comment on if this is actually the case, tho there are references that are not in TAS)

Superman: Tas, Superman: Last Son of Krypton, The Batman Superman Movie: World's Finest, Superman: Brainiac Attacks.

Batman Beyond, Batman Beyond Return of the Joker (which the flash back scenes were a re-imagining of the Killing Joke comic, which would later have it's own animated movie in a similar but darker style, but was not canonical.)

Justice League, Justice League Unlimited

Static Shock (way to many cross over episodes. but adds another tech company besides star labs)

Project Zeta (really only ties into Batman Beyond)

Gotham Girls..... (because some twisted mind at the Studio thought this was a good idea to link this?)

Lobo (cause why not?)

and about 30 or so comic book series with way too many focusing on Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn

What's Not in the DCAU,
Teen Titans, Young Justice, any animated Movie that isn't Listed above.
Edit: For the Record, just because a Static Shock episode makes reference to the TT it was a reference to a cancelled project that got replaced with the TT we know, which I'm not sure how it would of went as the JL Pilot has Cyborg as a Girl.

But they are all distinct series. You would never expect to see the JLU art direction used in an episode of Teen Titans.

Similarly, this game has a distinct (and in my opinion excellent) art style that would look completely out of place in other games.

seriously dunno why people have a fascination with trying to explain something to me when it's not needed you quite clearly can see it's a reply to someone asking for an artist like wilko (who has a very distinct and gawdy artstyle) which is what garnered the response, but then again I guess some people are just too daft to read something other then the white box. if anything I could probably talk circles around half the people trying to explain things to me because I've actually watched everything in the DCAU and actually enjoy it. as Far as Bubble Munch's comment goes the one everyone seems to effing ignore while trying to explain an Explanation. amtmodollas at Deviant art would be a much better Artist over all for a project like this then Wilko

as amtmodollas (a pixel artist btw) has experience redoing characters in the DCAU style, the Young Justice Style, and Injustice art style. Considering they did all the CW DC heroes in a DCAU style I'd rather go with them then that example of Wilko's work.
