Is she supposed to be in the game? I can't remember the JLA very well, but was power girl part of that universe? I mean I don't care and Power Girl is awesome but I don't know what rules this game goes by lore wise.is power girl in the game yet? if so can you fuck power girl?
The game is based on DCAU. The DCAU version of PG is Galatea, a Supergirl clone. The comic version is not in the game, although, visually, the two are very similar. Is she supposed to be in the game? It would be funny to technically have three people with the exact same DNA in the game though.
It's cool to see you and SmokeShank posting around here, but to be honest, I'll wait and see if the content improves. Actions speak louder than words, and the lackluster content and abandoning old girls + always introducing new ones have been common complaints for ages.snip
I don't feel a strong need to support most games on patreon, since they're just not very good. This, Four Elements Trainer, and a couple of other on the other hand are a head above the rest and deserve the attention they receive, possibly even more.Hello everyone.
....
The older the character the harder it is to get the personalities right that and I don't think SR7 is going in and rewatching batman the animated series. (tho the latest Harley quinn movie in that line up is hilarious but will piss hardcore fans off. as it makes references to campy era batman henchmen) more recent series are easier to find personality wise, besides the bulk of Barbara's personality development for the DCAU happened in Batman Beyond, and the Death of Joker which again not sure SR7 watched.Pheipl1's Illiad
I just had a long meeting with SR7 and am able to communicate more with you now. I know this month he overhauled several systems in the game to make it run better and less buggy. He wanted to do these for a while but when content is king, people don't want to pledge to a systems overhaul month. As far as actions speak louder than words, I completely agree, wait and see. I don't want your pledge unless you feel strongly about supporting the development of this project. Lastly we will be communicating better with everyone inside and outside our Patreon moving forward. There will be roadmap which will target older characters, and we will work towards finishing those. It's cool to see you and SmokeShank posting around here, but to be honest, I'll wait and see if the content improves. Hopefully at least you and SmokeShank can pass along bugs faster, some of them have been in the game for a long time. Harley's costume menu for example was still buggy as of the previous version, requiring you to Alt+F4 out of the game. And considering she hasn't had content added in ages, that bug's been around a long time.
I can understand the frustration regarding the "slow" progress. Please remember that this is a one person project not 6 like summertime saga, or even 2 like MITY. But with that aside I want to say that the older characters were never abandoned, what happened is they go to a state of needing animations. Adding those animations (which people loved initially) was they add a significant time sink (upwards of 2 weeks per) to development. When you only have roughly 2.5 weeks a month to get content in you reach for the low lying fruit in order to get something out the door. This was a mistake and we are aware of that. Moving forward we will be adding simpler animations to finish off characters (flip book style) and then when time permits go back and complete those that can be completed. Thank you for taking the time to write all that up, it really helps us get better.snip
Im against this, the art in the game is made to look like the JL tv shows. If this game ever has an event that introduces older Starfire and Raven or ever includes characters like Jinx and Argent and if both artist would be willing to collab, View attachment 56115 Wilko does some nice Raven/Starfire/Jinx/Argent art.
Wow I’d be incredibly disappointed if that kind of art made it into this game.If this game ever has an event that introduces older Starfire and Raven or ever includes characters like Jinx and Argent and if both artist would be willing to collab, View attachment 56115 Wilko does some nice Raven/Starfire/Jinx/Argent art.
so against this as you are mention distinct art styles that differ greatly from the Aesthetic the game goes for, go watch JL, JLU, Batman the Animated Series(or any of it's movies) , Superman the Animated Series, or Batman Beyond all of them have a very distinct art style that they all use hell Young Justice picks up the art style and so does Teen Titans to some regards, the only two DCAU series that really don't follow the style so great are Project Zeta and Static Shock, but I think this is because they were more their own content rather then pre-established and that they are far more light hearted and also probably cheaper animation budgets as they were both created during the dying years of saturday morning cartoons. If this game ever has an event that introduces older Starfire and Raven or ever includes characters like Jinx and Argent and if both artist would be willing to collab, View attachment 56115 Wilko does some nice Raven/Starfire/Jinx/Argent art.
DCAU was basically created by Bruce Timm, the later stuff all built on what he started. Even if he wasn't the main artist he was basically the overlord of everything animated for DC, so as other artists came in they all emulated his style to make all the different shows/movies feel like they were a part of the same universe.so against this as you are mention distinct art styles that differ greatly from the Aesthetic the game goes for, go watch JL, JLU, Batman the Animated Series(or any of it's movies) , Superman the Animated Series, or Batman Beyond all of them have a very distinct art style that they all use hell Young Justice picks up the art style and so does Teen Titans to some regards, the only two DCAU series that really don't follow the style so great are Project Zeta and Static Shock, but I think this is because they were more their own content rather then pre-established and that they are far more light hearted and also probably cheaper animation budgets as they were both created during the dying years of saturday morning cartoons.
tho as far as Static shock goes not sure how light hearted a cartoon is when half the school is either Bullies or some kind of wannabe gangster...
DCAU does not incorporate all DC Animated Projects just certain ones. mostly around Warner Bros Afternoon animation block and JL and JLU which sent to Cartoon network, still kind of bitter that Batman beyond ended early because of JL despite being the second most critically acclaimed & Awarded series in the DCAU. tho I keep purposely leaving out Gotham Girls from the DCAU cause A UGH... , B. it really doesn't add anything to discussion except some throwaway characters, C. Worst Animation out of the lot of them you can tell this one was cobbled together on the smallest Budget which isn't a surprise since it's blasted web cartoon.DCAU was basically created by Bruce Timm, the later stuff all built on what he started. But they are all distinct series. You would never expect to see the JLU art direction used in an episode of Teen Titans.so against this as you are mention distinct art styles that differ greatly from the Aesthetic the game goes for, go watch JL, JLU, Batman the Animated Series(or any of it's movies) , Superman the Animated Series, or Batman Beyond all of them have a very distinct art style that they all use hell Young Justice picks up the art style and so does Teen Titans to some regards, the only two DCAU series that really don't follow the style so great are Project Zeta and Static Shock, but I think this is because they were more their own content rather then pre-established and that they are far more light hearted and also probably cheaper animation budgets as they were both created during the dying years of saturday morning cartoons.

seriously dunno why people have a fascination with trying to explain something to me when it's not needed you quite clearly can see it's a reply to someone asking for an artist like wilko (who has a very distinct and gawdy artstyle) which is what garnered the response, but then again I guess some people are just too daft to read something other then the white box. if anything I could probably talk circles around half the people trying to explain things to me because I've actually watched everything in the DCAU and actually enjoy it. as Far as Bubble Munch's comment goes the one everyone seems to effing ignore while trying to explain an Explanation. amtmodollas at Deviant art would be a much better Artist over all for a project like this then WilkoBut they are all distinct series. Similarly, this game has a distinct (and in my opinion excellent) art style that would look completely out of place in other games.
Dunno if this was partially in response to me, but I wasn't trying to correct you or anything, I was agreeing with you, and attempting to expound on your point for the benefit of people who aren't as familiar with the source material.seriously dunno why people have a fascination with trying to explain something to me when it's not needed you quite clearly can see it's a reply to someone asking for an artist like wilko (who has a very distinct and gawdy artstyle) which is what garnered the response, but then again I guess some people are just too daft to read something other then the white box. if anything I could probably talk circles around half the people trying to explain things to me because I've actually watched everything in the DCAU and actually enjoy it. as Far as Bubble Munch's comment goes the one everyone seems to effing ignore while trying to explain an Explanation. amtmodollas at Deviant art would be a much better Artist over all for a project like this then Wilko
as amtmodollas (a pixel artist btw) has experience redoing characters in the DCAU style, the Young Justice Style, and Injustice art style. Considering they did all the CW DC heroes in a DCAU style I'd rather go with them then that example of Wilko's work.
