Our Insights and Thoughts on Gotham 0.51
ShareHi Everyone,
It’s been a solid two weeks since the release of Gotham 0.51, and we've been busy wrapping up final thoughts on that build while also kicking off planning for the next one.
First off, we're going to make a much stronger effort around communication moving forward. I’ll be the first to admit we dropped the ball on Patreon updates prior to the release, and for that, we’re truly sorry.Reflecting on Gotham 0.51We distributed 10 public scorecards for feedback, and interestingly, the results lined up almost exactly with what our internal testing team had scored. Power continues to be the stronger of the two dynamics, really showcasing what SR7 does best. Corruption lagged just slightly behind by a point or two. Nostalgia scored very high, meaning the characters not only looked like you remembered, but also acted like themselves.
The communication category was where things clearly fell short. Feedback showed that if you're not on Discord, you're missing most of the updates. Right now, the best way to stay informed is through a combination of Discord and Patreon. But that just proves we need to improve communication across both platforms, especially here on Patreon. What’s NextWe wrapped up brainstorming for the next build last week and are now in the early stages of development. We’re going to stay quiet on details for now, but we’ll have teasers and updates to share as things progress. Currently, we’re in Checkpoint One, which means we’re still planning but expect to have asset needs firmed up soon.
Henshin has also been working on SU: Android and hopefully will have a new build out soon.Life StuffIt’s the May long weekend here in Canada. As usual, the weather is unpredictable. This year we’re looking at 4°C with a chance of snow. That wouldn’t be so odd if it hadn’t been 36°C on Tuesday. I sometimes wonder what the fur traders thought when they settled in this wild prairie climate.
On the brewing front, I’ve been on a roll. I just wrapped up a Helles Lager, an English Mild (3%), and have a fruited wheat beer just about ready to keg. Next up is a pineapple sour. I’m planning to add Malibu Rum to the keg and try to turn it into a piña colada sour. Wish me luck.
SR7 has been biking a lot and just started getting his yard ready for summer. This will be the first year where he doesn't have any major outdoor projects to tackle, which honestly feels like a win.
