Yes they are purposely "drawing like AI" because that makes more sense than "they moved to an art style you don't like". I'm not saying the new style is better or worse, but it is just like a fact that artists change their styles over time, you can call it being lazy, pandering, or just shifting their look, and its fine to not like said change in style, but calling it AI basically just because you don't like it is both misinformed and reductive of both larger issues in hand.

You want them to change course then properly diagnose the issue, don't just throw blanket statements like "it's AI" when it's provably not. Criticize the things you don't like about the new style with CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM and even if they don't say it out-loud most artists will at least keep it in mind.
