First of all, make the girl's corruption level bigger. Second, go to the bordello screen and place the girl's icon from the screen corner to the free slot (you must have at least one free slot because of the fact that you opened the borbello).how to send girls to the meta bordellow
The first questions hould be, if he is playing on Unity. if it is the Ren'py build, the Bordello (and placing villains) is not functional.First of all, make the girl's corruption level bigger. Totally accepted. The first questions hould be, if he is playing on Unity. if it is the Ren'py build, the Bordello (and placing villains) is not functional.
Otherwise. Not the corruption level, but hte device level.
To think that was something that should be done back in 2022.Ngl I think we all want another's wonder women update cause the first one feel unfinished
We came back because we got really bad scores on keeping you all informed. If misinformation wasn't an issue, I wouldn't be here. When devs comeback to f95 threads after years to shill their game you know things are getting bad
SoulFoZoid I have a lot of respect for what you do, and we have had many great conversations over the last few years. For those that don't know SoulFoZoid does some of the best AI art using SR7 LoRA's. This guy is very talented, and a wizard with the prompts. If the artstyle changed drastically and can't go back it's better to make a new project,
they did find a temporary solution by using characters that are not the characters used before to not have comparisons but now things have suffered with the updates, direction in events and just plain presentation of development.
Using monetized dev logs on patreon where it now has a community message system or do what Akabur did and keep a newsletter by email is quite frankly sad.
Undermines the tried and tested tools of forums (discord), e-mail and general communication.
4 months - 6 months is to long of a wait time, it's no longer wait a year and see nice updates it's wait a decade to see a full event done. By the time 3 updates rolled out everyone would change their minds in the direction the game is developing 3 times.
Can things go back to what they were before?
Thank you for this Erebus59. I agree with all of this, but believe that producing things quicker than 3 months can have some problems that I wouldn't call low effort. Productivity is finite, and if you need to deliver something in 3 months, and those people you deliver it to only care about "content" then you're going to skip out on what makes your shit good. Your just going to try to gain efficiencies, that lead to poor overall content, but high content numbers. Our belief, is that top level content needs the extra time to find errors, and make sure content is of a high quality. Rather than just pumping garbage out to keep people coming in the door.In _general_ asking amateur devs to produce things quicker than 3 months leads to lower effort and shorter content. That is done all for the sake of an arbitrary deadline. Let the devs cook and not feel pressured that they have to get something out. It's greedy of fans to demand some sort of constant satisfaction. On the flip side the dev needs keep the fans informed on the progression
This thread can be just like 4chan /weg but with usernames. Even if we delivered exactly on everyones complaints, they would just reword the complaint. Reminds me of the complaint that we have never done anything in Ren'py right after we released the Android build in Ren'py. When that was pointed out the person said "Windows"Hilarious how the devs are being open and transparent in this thread about development issues while still listening to feedback and people are still finding excuses to bitch XD
I understand why I might said 4-6 months it's related to the main unity game not being updated frequently. The stand alone events feel personally to me as separate games, just how other did a separate build for a Halloween event going straight to action. I know it's frustrating but I think it's a shared sentiment on how the rempy builds feel disassociated with the lack of inheritance of aestethics and different ui implementation. Can you point me to where we stated that builds would take 4-6 months? Or perhaps can you show where we have released a build outside 4 months of development? We have publically (not paid) patreon posts where we state our intention is to be in the 2-4 month windows for updates. These updates are about quality, not just getting junk out to satisfy a quota. Our goal isn't for you to wait a year for a nice update, it's to only have to wait 4 months. We want all updates to be 2.4.7.
I'm neither angry nor frustrated I just have a tendency to point out bullshit when I see it.Oriandu, first I want to apologize that we have made you so angry and frustrated. That was never our intent. I also want to say that there is some truth to what you're saying, but there is also some inaccuracies. So in order to have good dialogue and take your points and address them, we need to both operate in the same factual reality.
"If you wanted it then it would be done".
That minimizes the actual problem to just a simple statement. It's much more complex than that. Our plan was to work on BoB2 in the last half of 2024. But when 2.4.7 released, and it being the best single build in 5 years we decided to follow that with more.
"Updates have gotten further and further apart, with no increase in content, and a marked decrease in quality".
In my opinion this is your feelings masquerading as facts. Prior to this years change, our latest delivery was 14 days late. Prior to that it was 11 days. In fact late builds were not even a top 10 concern for patrons, but were a #1 concern for a piracy forum. If there is no increase in content, it's because we're maintaining our scene count expectations. Which is true with a but, 2.4.7 had over 6 months of built up content in it, so it's size wasn't relative to the two month cycle (This is why builds feel low in content). The decrease in quality again is only showing up here. 2.4.7 was the best received build in over 5 years, and the Gotham 0.51 was very close to that.
"don't want to make it, you just want people to think you do so you can continue to make money off of stolen intellectual property".
I heard a quote the other day, and it's very relevant to this comment. If someone must be lying in order for something to make sense, then you don't under that thing.
There has been a few people in this thread that even if we addressed all their concerns (which several of yours I believe are just feelings and not based on facts) they would still not be happy. I feel you would be one of those individuals. I'm sorry that our project we started 10 years ago made you so frustrated.
Your feelings were communicated by many, and that is why events in Ren'py will be just for web and Android moving forward. We're going to release the full game in Ren'py and be depreciating the Unity versions as early as later this year. We made this announcement a month ago. But the only thing that will be a slight issue is that some assets in the new Ren'py version of SU will be of a slightly lower quality, as we will be converting the images to higher qualities as we go along.I understand why I might said 4-6 months it's related to the main unity game not being updated frequently. The stand alone events feel personally to me as separate games, just how other did a separate build for a Halloween event going straight to action. I know it's frustrating but I think it's a shared sentiment on how the rempy builds feel disassociated with the lack of inheritance of aestethics and different ui implementation.
I myself know how hard it is for game aesthetics to hit right and I give the benefit of doubt with the events. But the direction is with no buildup in gameplay is not helping.
Events are large chucks of game that follow a separate narrative from the main game and after the event you get rewards in new scenes or a new character after the event has happened. They are meant for quick character acquisition and progression to skip the usual grind and offer a refreshing change of pace.
In my opinion your post history shows a clear anger and frustration. Also I will again state that if you as saying something is bullshit, chances are you don't understand that thing. I have given you factual points and you will still call them bullshit.I'm neither angry nor frustrated I just have a tendency to point out bullshit when I see it.
Thank you Raystale for taking the time to write this up. I will do my best to answer any criticisms or add to the narrative here.My own two cents for the communication discussion.
I just want to add that you want to know information that wasn't available to anyone, even SR7. We couldn't tell you what was planned as there were no hard plans. in the two month window SR7 started to create and implement, if he ran into design issues, he moved on. It wasn't good. We had no estimates other than when the build was due.I was frustrated truthfully at the lack of specificity for updates/progress for last year and the year before. In the progress updates I would like to have at least a rough estimate of how many scenes are finished being drawn/how many are/were planned and progress on writing (like saying ur 50% done for writing or something, if it turns out your off with estimates oh well at least ppl know). I don't feel like some of the previous updates really meant anything to me (Example, saying you implemented a checkpoint system meant literally nothing to me unless you went into depth about what that would entail).
Thank you, and cleaning up the narrative here, and bring it inline to a more friendly atmosphere is what we want. We have more planning going on. However we haven't discussed a releasing an actual number for planned assets. In my opinion that would give the trolls more ammo. I can already see the "they said there would be 36 scenes and there is only 35!",when in fact there is like 40+. But there will be more progress updates, and free ones as well.I will say the recent posts have been much improved and thank you for that but could still be improved further with some of the additions from above.
I agree, and this is a symptom of the two month cycle in my opinion. With a lack of planning, you can see additions of things that have never been filled out. Character slots, device levels, threat system. Themyscira map is a big one! SR7 designs the map first then fills it in, that is how Themyscira is done.Other issues I personally had was the lack of finish on content and amount of content per update. Like for Themyscira, there was introduced characters and areas that didn't have/still don't have finished content (Yara flor, Donna, and Cassie for the island have no content and Hippolyta, WW, the Aphrodite temple girls, and the Priestesses have unfinished content). Plus the event added abruptly, Maxima arrives, 1 new drawn scene and that's it, coulda been a big multi-scene/character event to end the content and other events too, so that the events feel completed (this is my own personal opinion and Ik tech wise it's difficult to implement).
I want to address some stuff here for you raystale, as there might be some context you aren't aware of, due to us being 10 years old now. Teasers is something our Patrons do not want period, a huge thing they like is the curiosity of looking for the new content and discovering it first. In fact when we released changelogs we had an outpouring of complaints over it having spoilers. This also builds on your picarto streams comment, as we need to find content people don't want spoiled. Bordello content is what fit the bill here. Also amount of content I wanna say on average there have been 15 scenes with some variation + other art for backgrounds and costumes for most updates in last two years, GS has argued that people are paying like 8$ CAD or whatever per month for them so if the people paying for it are cool with it who cares but I always treat these sorta games as like crowdfunding more than a direct purchase and this game/studio generates probably >200k CAD per year which is massive for the amount of new content being added. Other creators who make way less release monthly with differing amount of scenes or give behind the scenes contents and teasers for weeks leading up into a release so that there's still new content for subs, and when no new updates/teasers can be given for an extended period of time lots of devs also pause funding. SU has major content droughts between releases this used to be better with the regular Picarto streams imo but they haven't been consistently happening in the last 2 years.
I'm sorry, but this isn't clear. Are you saying that the cycle to releases has been getting longer and longer? We had 8 releases of content last year on every platform (PC, Android, Mac, Web). Yes Halloween was a fucking bust, but we still ported it to Android and that took 3 months of work. There's been a repeated argument here from GS account that the delays have been at most 2 weeks or 10 days or whatever amount. The cycle to releases have also taken longer and longer as this has went on, which I understand is due to tech limitations but that wasn't communicated well previously only in vague statements of delays when it did happen.
The last few updates have been lackluster in the corruption dept, and we agree with you on the cell content style of writing. It's something we have brought up recently with the team.Last bit, which is literally just personal preference, some of the writing has been a lil meh recently. The Amazons just essentially throwing themselves at Lex is kinda dumb imo, the corruption type writing from the earlier cell work was better to me.
All the same, thanks GS for starting to read feedback from here and responding in good faith.
Woah, holy shit, it speaks! You guys finish the meta-bordello yet?We came back because we got really bad scores on keeping you all informed. If misinformation wasn't an issue, I wouldn't be here.
It seems like the dev's spokesman said that something would only happen in two months (Sep).Stupid question...are we getting an update at the end of this month or the month after July
I Agree SO hard on everything you said and I feel the exact same way honestly. Although I do feel like they intentionally don't progress wonder woman's story too much because they know she's a fan favorite, so they keep us waiting, that's my theory at least. As far as I remember, doesn't wonder woman have an option for nicknames, but only in the game files? That's been in there for YEARS. Like c'mon! A corrupted wonder woman would be the most satisfying thing in the world. What irks me the most is how some characters have been released a long time ago and are still incomplete. One of the clearest examples being wonderwoman and catwoman private room scenes. I'm really not a fan of sharing or whoring the women, but many of them are lacking scenes in the bordello, especially in the exhibition rooms.
I haven't even tried to access the latest bit of content (which I believe is centered around some cosplayers?) cause the selling point of the game is getting action with established character, not lookalikes.
The themyscira event was okay-ish but felt frustrating for similar reasons. Some characters are woefully incomplete (like library girl and the one in the "temple(?)"), while it also features some characters that don't have the whole expected set of poses and actions.
Also wonderwoman is part of it, and everything with her is and feels, again, very underwhelming. The gotham event has similar issues with some characters, like the two-face henchwomen along with the penguin groupies.
Many times these "incomplete releases" get frustrating. Some of them do indeed get completed later, but many others never do, like the ones I mentioned before.
I feel many people would prefer having more actions with the characters that are already established. Maybe group stuff and odd pairings, abusing the premise of them all being under mind control.
Supergirl + Batgirl + Hawkgirl + Lex foursome would be awesome as a suggestion, especially if it's a repeatable action in the base. It'd also be something that wouldn't necessitate a whole new event to trigger, just justify it as Lex wanting to flex his dominance over the women.
Some of the characters never truly give in to Lex at this point in time, like WonderWoman and Hawkgirl. Supergirl as well, kinda? Maybe having more content with them that could erode more of their iron will while they're conscious instead of mindless?
