WE KNOW .30 is out. ffs, it was out ages ago ON THIS SITE
What we NEED is the ENG translation or ENG version.

Then some one should have put in a request to have it updated so it says 0.30 and not 0.29 and no longer Abandoned...
Also there is a Eng hot fix in the files for 0.30 in the link i provided.

Its tagged abandoned because there is no English version, please read this thread, all will be revealed.

It wont be updated to .30 UNTIL the Dev releases the ENG version, how hard is it for people to understand this ???
hotfix ? evey one I have tried does not work, every single one has issues, when the dev releases v 30 ENG, then his tags get changed, simple.

Right, well seeing as the page was never updated I added an update link nothing more. If the Eng fix doesn't work so be it.

It would have been nice to find out exactly what .30 eng version they packed, probably stole one from here, but who knows.

The English fix downloaded is very poor. Machine translated very badly, items missing eg laptop, and a bug on nearly every move. Don't bother with it.

One bug I found was that you couldn't go to sleep and have time advance. For time to advance you had to sleep on the sofa in the livingroom. Also you never ran out of stamina and needed rest. Also fond large chuncks of text that was still in Russian.

sounds like you have just "borrowed" someone else's work from this forum and just repacked SOAB with that borrowed .qsp
It is common knowledge to all who READ this thread, that every Eng "fix" has/had issues and still do, you cannot just change all russian words to translated English ones, some are pointers/locations etc, which when changed completely fck the game up, you HAVE to be very careful what values are altered, IMO a machine translation is not possible because of the previous issue.
it NEEDS manual translation, this relatively easy, BUT VERY time consuming (I know I started it) one value I changed stopped a LOT of things working lol.
Most button labels can be altered easily, so can the days, statements can be too, but if you machine them they will be in Engrish not English and a lot of times make no sense.

So as mentioned here before working on an English version that will make sense when read, not a direct translation as using machine translation to get the English sentences then massaging them to something that flows better, as don't know the Russian language.
This project is more of a learn-to-code QSP, play a game while at it, so just be aware of that fact above when playing this if you choose to do so.
Also, this is just a first look at what it will play like when fully translated and modded as the other part that will be worked on is how the game displays the text section and choice buttons.
Feedback is welcomed for any that decide to help test it, this has only been done for the intro and prologue Sveta path, after that it is back to the Russian as don't want to get too far with the modding then have someone suggest something and have to re-code it all.
Install instruction:
Please make a backup of your original game or look at the compressed file to backup only the files being overwritten as there are changes to some of the files that came with the game.
Once downloaded extract the assets folder into the SOB main folder, files will go to the right place by structure, click "OK" when prompted to replace files.
It should be a quick test of the interface and see how the English massaging is going.

Thank you for providing this first intro/prologue sample. Worked like a charm. I very much liked the dark grey text box format, fonts and general formatting but one detail: Putting the mood / adverbial denotations how somebody reacted/replied at the end of the sentence separated by a hyphen was not to my liking. I would like that contextual information before reading the sentence. As non-native speaker the english translation seemed 90% okay. Some minor glitches here and there but a huge improvement over the ML translations and I finally understood instead of having to guess what was going on

That is not at all how the system works and it has never worked like that. And we on this forum have been providing the English version for years. In fact I don't remember Avenger EVER releasing an English version in the entre lifetime of the project.
My machine translations never had issues and your descriptions of possible issues don't make any sense at all. In fact me, PrEzi, Xorgoth and others have fixed numerous bugs Avenger introduced.
