Yeah, it's a pretty lame path. I started a new playthrough specifically to do the alt path, but it's just not as good.

Think you need to bang her mother at night, and then in the morning you will see a scene with the mom and her in the kitchen, after that you should be able to have a scene with her. Marina is a very, VERY long quest line though.

Part of dealing with Marina is seeing her and clicking on her name in the description, this goes on for awhile until you start getting interactions with her.

Remember to keep multiple saves. So backtrack won't take to long.

You put the file in assets\standalone_content folder. Make sure just ONE qsp file is there. The one with the language you want.
