let me get this straight... all I gotta do is to copy files in standalone content of v0.25 (mp3, pic, etc) paste it in v0.26 same files with updated content and it should work? Am I slowly becoming a computer engineer or I'm completely lost?

Typically people do it the other way around, but yes - that's all you need to do.
Most people just have an old version (0.25) - and an update (0.26 patch) - wherein the patch does nothing but add new files and overwrite old ones. When you do software updates it's really not doing much more than this.
The pointers to all of the files for all of the content is held in the QSP files. So long as the files make sense to the QSP you're fine.

You need the English QSP file, there can only be one qsp file in the stand alone assets folder.

It's not personal but you jumped right onto the same train as many users lately who dont even bother to read the minimum and just fire questions away that have been answered over and over again. Especially this thread has by now only 20% meaningful information - the rest is a continuous repetition of the same questions.
This forum is actually run by some pretty smart people who think about what users need - thus threads for games have templated front post that collect all the important knowledge. 5 exclamation marks in a question basically asked for my type of reaction.

You can search the thread, at the top of the page. There's a drop down menu to do exactly that but think there's still a bug where you have to click the search button rather than hit enter.

With every new version you should start a new game. With cheats it is quite easy. With someone elses save games you can miss lots of content (different paths).
With all games it is recommended reading the OP. But like they say - sometimes the easy solutions can be the most difficult ones.
