Even the ones from back then which are still in todays' builds look better in the old one. I don't understand why anyone would downscale like that.
I think he wanted to switch to a skeletal rigging system, so he could make enemy variations without having to mess with the animations. So all animations had to be redone for that.

So the upside is that system could also be used for jigglephysics, but that wasn't on his mind appearently.

Thanks!

I tried it and it shows why this gamedevelopement is such a let down. His gamepay loop was fine. It was snappy and fun and dare I say, challenging. All it needed was some polish and enemies/spells (from the 2018 version)

He could've milked it by adding more and more enemies/animations. Different combinations/tagteams.

It's a damn shame.

Wow, um, I downloaded a build from 2016, and it seems to be better than what we have now in pretty much every way. No silly melee attack or six-shooter. Simpler casting spells system and a basic spell auto-attack. Simpler charm system (sneak up and just press space; no hammering the e button), you hold you breasts while running if naked, and you had access to a different outfit.
You still have every asset with the sole exception of the breast-hugging walk. K for dress toggle. Some game elements were indeed simpler and had a slighlty more fluid feel to them, but not that much in my opinion. What he lacks and hasn't really delivered in any version is a fun spell/melee fighting system. His newer animations are of comparable quality in my opinion, some better, some worse. The new tentacle animation for example is pretty saucy; it's a pretty subjective field anyway.

The real loss is the flower cut-scene, although he probably still has assets for that too, it's just not available in the gallery the way the flower is implemented.

Alright, so i just tried this game using the latest build from the OP, and this is how it went:
Booted the game up no problems. Ran through the initial tutorial. Clunky controls, but mostly playable.
Then the game wanted me to charm and sex this blue midget thing inside a house. Despite trying my best to follow the instructions, i could not do that (only got to the charming part) i eventually grew frustrated with this, so i shot the goblin (why does a mage even have a gun?), and ran around the house (the door inside the house is locked until you sex the midget) Then i came accross the shooting range. Despite hitting all the targets in the range, the incubus (i thought incubi were supposed to be masculine but whatever) asked me if i wanted to try again. I said yes, and gave the range another shot (heh). But the incubus insisted that i didn't beat it. So this time i thought i would just rather get on with the rest of the game. So i tried to leave and said no in the dialog. But i couldn't. I was stuck in the dialog. Eventually i managed to just walk away while the dialog box was still open, prompting the shooting range countdown to proc over and over as i played through the game from then on. With the nice little addition of the text cluttering up the screen aswell. Then i went down this dungeon who's challenge is to open some gates by putting some objects on pressure plates. (there was a magic tutorial before this, but i ignored it as i was starting to lose my patience with this game) The pathing to the pressure plates was so shitty that i straight up couldn't get to the last one, as there was an invinsible wall blocking the path. I eventually managed to bug out the game and go on the "roof" of the dungeon floor by spam teleporting against the mentioned invisible wall. While on the "roof" i was able to jump through the wall and over to the cave/tunnel that lead to a village. I couldn't interact with anything (whether this was because i was stuck in dialog or because there just is no content in this area i have no idea) then i got spotted by some goblin shaman dude, (the enemy alert system is just completely ripped off from the MTGS series, but i'm pretty sure everyone who has played this so called "game" also made this observation)
Then the entire fucking village rushed me, and clobbed me to death in a second.
Then the game crashed.
Huh, so i guess this is the product of what, 5 years of development? What an utter embarrassment.
Free online flash games from the mid 2000's are miles ahead of this pile of shit that has the audacity to call itself a "game".
Well congrats Mithos, this is the first time a porn game has ever pissed me off.

My guess is that you didn't actually get all the targets. There are quite a few of them, many of them moving around and a fair bit of them behind you.

Not sure if you think this is a bad thing, but either way, this "system" isn't exactly original or creative. Most people could think of something like it whether you're familiar with Metal Gear or not.

I mean, maybe, but i hit the moving targets in the trees behind the range, and some behind me. Putting targets all over the place away from the range is a pretty stupid thing to do, though.

I just mean by the fact that they copied the exclamation mark and the sound, not the overall concept.

Game hadnt had an update in while, has it been abandoned or is the developer just a teeny tiny bit lazy?
He is maybe lazy a little bit, because after 4 or more years this game is still far away from beeing complete.
He makes this game alone, so he need time, i understand that point.
Changing the way to use spells every 2-3 months is nothing i can understand.

He is more playing and learning to work with the engine then really trying to get the game done. He is nearly saying this by himself.

So just tried this 'demo' out. For something thats earning him $2300 per month and been in development for five years, it seems very poor. It crashed on 1st start up. Then when moving a barrel the animation got stuck and had to restart, the place bombs in an area gated by invisible walls so you have to roll it down the fallen stairwells plays as somehow figured out how to put in basic physics and wanted to keep reusing it. Then when I made it to the village area, some mob didn't stay charmed and killed me instead of following, which caused the game to crash yet again.

And thats not even counting all the issues with asset pop in/out on the floating platforms area etc and shooting range issues like Bloep already mentioned.

I don't like criticizing something not finished, but this has years of development and plays like something other devs put together in a couple of weeks.

Unfortunately the problem is not so much that the game is in a poor condition but the fact that he is getting paid by people for it. And every month, mind you. So somewhere out there there is an army of people who think the current game and its development progress are worth $2300 a month

I'll admit that the game is in a bad spot but 2300 a month is not a lot of money, especially in the games industry. So he's probably working only this part time.

Well, theres 4.3 weeks per month, $2300 per month is $534 per week. This IS a lot of money to be making with no progress for years. I'd love it for someone to pay me $27k per year to do nothing, "because its not a lot of money".
