Okay, I'm pretty sure something isn't right with my game. I've got notoriety 77 and spent several days now trying to get weapons at Krogneath but he isn't selling anything.
That sounds very unusual. If you want you can post your save game here and I'll have a look into it. I am always checking for weird Edge cases I might have overlooked...

Assuming of course that you run the game without any modification or that you did not compromise the game's data by some command line argument gone wrong.

Level three shields and weapons are the quantum ones with the pink colors, level two the neutron ones with the blue color and level one the photon ones with the orange color.

Maybe you are looking for something better than level 3? That exists but it is optional stuff you get later in the game and it isn't really necessary for the first three or four star systems.

You should have the special shield already though, and probably also the special hyperdrive, both of which you received from the vorons in previous quests.

Here is the save. I don't run any mods or messed with the data, I have no idea how to even do that haha. I did "savescum" by abusing the rollback function quite a bit though, not sure if that is an issue. Maybe I misunderstood something though, I do have a pink quantum lance weapon already, the torpedo arrey is mkII and green/blue-ish. I've had both of these for ages though and honestly can't see myself winning the fights in the 3rd system anymore. I did clear the precursor junkyard there twice already but the quest items didn't drop and the fights just get harder and harder.

Have you purchased the better licenses at the star base? Pop back to the base and try to go to the admin centre again.

Just following these rules with 20 BFT, 6 AP, No cloak, zero hull plating and Quantum Basic Gear I can make it 80% of the time.
With Voron Torps and Cloaking Shield > 90%. Add hull plating and its even higher.

Most important the refill and hiding hints...

PS: I recommend to get the weapons investment (Quothon) opportunity, that makes sure you get tons of torpedoes in space stations.

Got it, the reloading hint was really useful, I hadn't appreciated that enough before this.

Suggestions and corrections continued

79 - In Quthor when MC has 100t of Infernium Ore and interacts with Ledruhk Mine, they say "If you were be willing to unload that..." change were to would.
80 - Same interaction with Ledruhk Mine, they say "We have loaded you with 100t of Infernium Plating for Minos Forge." Sentence feels off. Maybe add the word up and abbreviate we have to we've, "We've loaded you up with 100t of Infernium Plating for Minos Forge." Also, you may want to add 3 periods at end. Since they are the next dialogue after this one.
81 - When calling T'Ris to the Captain's Quarters for nighttime meditation. At the conclusion they speak. She says "I oddly feel also some stress reduction myself..." This sentence needs a little rework, mostly because she refers to herself twice, just sounds weird. Try instead something such as "Oddly I also feel some stress reduction..."
82 - In morning after delivering goods to Minos Forge. BB-2 says "Drengar Bureaucracy is known to be not immune to favours..." This needs rework. Maybe something like... "Drengar Bureaucracy is known to not be immune to favours..." inverting the word be and not. Or... "Drengar Bureaucracy is known to be susceptible/vulnerable to favours..."
83 - Same conversation, BB-2 says "A case of Vortex has proven helpful in the past...." too many periods.
84 - When MC is writting a novel on his computer for Dr.Moira, he writes... "...Captain Blaze 'Starlust' sailed through the glittering void, his heart yearning for adventure and romance...." too many periods.
85 - Again, the next sentence about fiery and fearless Princess Astra...etc. This also ends with too many periods.
86 - In Quthor when speaking with Pirate Leader Belit, MC says "Just out of curiousity, what is Krogeath's asking price?" Krogneath is spelled wrong and curiosity is spelled wrong.
87 - Speaking with Dr.Moira the following day, after giving her the novel. She says "It had an otherworldy quality to it..." misspelled otherworldly, need to add an L.
88 - When giving Dr.Moira the Pet Pleaser toy, MC says "I know a certain Arellarti store...." too many periods.
89 - When finding Dr.Moira in Medbay using the Pet Pleaser, she says "Do you you mind...?" duplicate word you.
90 - When visiting Dr.Moira in the Medbay to discuss Therapy. She says "hmm...." too many periods.
91 - When visiting Dr.Moira in the Medbay to discuss Therapy. She says "And here...." too many periods.
92 - When giving Dr.Moira Racy Uniform, she says "I spent some time among the Krell, remember?." can remove the period.

96 - Hotkey (Q) moves time forwards 1hr. Except on hour 21:00, the button and option to move time forward vanishes and player forced to go to MC quarters to use alternate method of moving time forward to 22:00. Could we return the (Q) button for use at 21:00.
97 - When Dr.Moira visits MC at night for a BJ, if MC chats with her, she may talk about being a Krell Exchange student and she says "We all had to take Pet Class.." missing a period.
98 - Same interaction, when finishing, Dr.Moira says "Nnnnggg...." too many periods.
99 - When asking T'Ris for Bridge Favour, she says "I understood humans derive a special plasure from sex acts in unusual places..." misspelled pleasure.
100 - After handing in the 4th map fragment to library. MC is contacted in morning by Ylyee who discusses NX010 system. At one point she mentions a beacon they placed in Xenos for the MC. She says "If anything unexpected happens, you can immediately get out of NX0101..." I think this is a typo and you added an extra 1 at the end.

Excellent changes, I'll be looking forward taking over some into the next official 2.0 version.

As to the save game compatibility here is a fact I learned the hard way.

Every prepared distro has labeled procedural calls and they are numbered. Any recompilation of the distro will probably change the labels, causing save games, which are somewhere deep in the hierarchy to return to weird places and often crash the game.

This is why I introduced a top hierarchy level safe zone for saving cross version compatible games in version 2.0+

So if you get reports regarding strange error messages from users who try to load their save games please remember the procedural call label issue which is the reason and cannot be circumvented in a doable way. Or you could try to distribute the mod as an unlabeled rpy which could make it work.

From version 2 I could integrate more of the changes into the official version.

I already follow the walkthrough but for whatever reason I can't get Khelara scene. What am I supposed to do? Peep her? Give her drink? I already did the bounty countlessly and her max app is only 3. From there, I don't know what to do.

I always work on an unlabeled branch. The distros I do on a separate branch.
In the early phases of the game I often changed call hierarchies etc. Labeled procedure calls are a nightmare in that situation and their management a colossal wast of time imho. Other devs might see it differently but it is what it is.

In 2.00 I solved the problem by introducing a safe zone for cross version game saves on top hierarchy level so I don't need to think about call labels any more. Tested and works nicely. :)

I assume you mean the shower visit / SLU training.

The whole SLU training part with Khelara only triggers (i.e. MC gets the idea) once her EXH is 6+. You get her EXH to 6 the same way as with the other characters (wear revealing for a few days).

If you
- did all that
- never used a mod (esp. not URM)
- never cheated your stats
and it still doesn't work I'd be interested in your game save (you can pm it to me for analysis).

I shells are the Infiltrator. You get one during the course of the story, then after the 2nd infiltrator mission to the Khrell Biolabs, you should be safe to give it to Nimhe for R&D and mass production. G shells are Golden Seductress, which are a rare bot container drop from Drengar Corsairs (the Drengar ships that don't spawn drones, and have a brighter yellow stripe on top). They show up in the QuNoth System (probably misspelled), and can occur from Bounty Level 6 missions, and random encounters from traveling encounters in QuNoth.

Bare in mind, both shells are Premium ones, that will add traits/attitudes to your bots, jumping them +30 IQ (for the Golden Seductress) or +70 IQ points, making them only really good for selling as Illegal bots.

However, I will admit that while it took me a long time of rerolling I was able to roll a 109 IQ Precursor Military/Elite cortex, then combine that with the best Elite grade parts and a Golden Seductress shell? Holy smokes, it's actually worth more than a sub 140 IQ Galaxina shell with best parts. Admittedly, part of that is because of an issue in v1.50 where the Galaxina shell's personality wasnt giving any sort of value bonus, so my statement may not be true in v2.0.

Yeah there's a capitalization issue with the Galaxina shell as it relates to the personality bonus in SJx 1.50.15, which is bypassing the intended bonus. I fixed it in my mod, and I'm assuming that you've noticed it already and will address this in the next version of SJx.

I walked my pet to the space bar in Iltari Station.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Take Seraphine to a walk to the Dome
2. Place any bet
3. wait with Q until 22:00
4. go back to the ship
5. view the race
6. start a new day
7. now you have Seraphine as a pet on the ship and you can travel anywhere (my case space bar in Iltari Station)

You can manually fix it (command line) with

Cannot wait for the newer release! :)

A couple of questions if I may:

I know most of v2.0 is a tech upgrade of the base game (python and renpy versions, plus a lot of reworked "inner guts" so to speak). Plus bugfixes. But at the content level, what's new on the game? I recall having read something about the pet system and pony racing?

Also, any plans of of making the release available though Itch.io? (as a paid purchase ofc). Or any other platform outside the subscription sites P and SS.
