nanite pods are to repair bot parts, not hull, for hull you just need to put some plates on places where are missing. can buy them on every system, or get as loot

Visit the Ancient loot site if you are "lucky" an unknown ship will attack you from some space cloud.... it's invurnable, but you can destroy the drnes it launches... afterwards loot the scrap left behind and if you are lucky again they are part of this loot

Perhaps there is an argument to be made that Immo slot should be a slot of it's own so as not to impact the potential stat gain loss from being forced to use one.

My Biggest issue with the devious attitude is that making bots purely to sell is a long and pointless endevour your far better off just cranking out a couple of good bots for the sex arcade and then just afking days for free money.

- as that shell comes with a bunch of quite good stat improvements the devious attitude is the price to pay for that. Super high end bots (which tap out a 1 mil / day earning are already close to game breaking). No need to inflate their numbers imho
- the tradeoff between arcade and sale was a tricky one indeed. I set the daily arcade earnings to a few percent of the bots value with a logarithmic scale to have a small bonus for cheaper starter bots. In order for the game to make bot sales attractive win reagdrs of time invested I would probably need auto assembly and auto train (e.g. Nimhe gets her separate storage and creates the best bots she can, trains em and sells them)
- the aspect of the economy that might get a full makeover in new versions is the commodity market / trading / mission aspect. I found that the early on transport missions often are not worth it compared to bounties
For that I need to revamp all the parts creation logic, introduce UUIDs, write MV Pod scrubbers for legacy conversions, etc... so it is a bit of work.

I think bot creation is in a good place in terms of randomisation, I'm not a fan of each individual component of a bot having randomised perks or bonus perks as this just increases the tedium of trying to get the perfect parts and will simply results in hours of save scumming or just straight up cheating, I think this would negativily inpact the enjoyment of just playing the game since we all want the best of the best but are only willing to give so much personal time to the endeavour.
Bot creation is the part of the game i enjoy most at the moment and i don't find myself bothering with smuggling or bounties as the time required to do them and/or get the items doesn't equate to the reward gained, this area of the game could 100% use a rework in an attempt to make those ventures important in someway. Perhaps bounties and smuggling could have a Notoriety Rank of there own seperate from pirate hunting / combat which could lead to access of vendors that have special shells or other ship based upgrades not obtainable without the correct rank, it create a need to actually do the missions but maybe the mission could also be improved so they are not as simple as go to point A get item go to point B deliver items.
Fight Bad Guys = ?? some form of combat reputation.
Free slave / Help people = Galactic Hero Reputation
Smuggling / Bounties = Galactic Villain Notoriety
Anyway it's a great game so far but thought i would share my 2 cence on what I feel is lacking.
Still an awesome game! Eager for adventures in Krell Space. Because, yeah returning to the home galaxy seems like a waste of the time, energy, and gift it took some "unknown force" to bring me here in the first place!

If you are looking at Missions, good.
- Smuggling is currently worthless, aside from the special missions you get from Verity to gain early NOT and XP. It can be difficult to acquire the goods (by design) but the reward is only money and NOT. Maybe change the reward (for regular Missions only, not Verity's) to include items? Stuff you can't buy in the current system, etc.
- Trading is kinda okay, but there is also little reason to do it after the REP soft cap. Whatever else you do to adjust it, consider adding some minor XP to the reward to smooth the leveling lag between... Captain level 3 to 4 (?) when you don't yet have access to Bounty missions. There is a way to get to the Pirate Base much earlier, but asking Nimhe about illegal bots when Vee is still asleep and/or you don't even have access to the Lower Deck yet is kinda weird.
- Bounty missions are kinda OP but otherwise alright. Consider reducing the XP value of enemies, and also check that combats that produce XP for both the enemies and the encounter are correct.

Balancing the income of missions (or anything else for that matter) in the game is tricky right now, because there is a way of earning money much more efficient than everything else in the early/mid game.
Late game money comes primarly from the Arcade with high level bots, as I guess it's by design, but early on, and unless something has changed in 1.5, once you unlock the Pirate Hideout in the first system most money problems just dissapear. It's only matter of interacting with the Scrap Trader that is guaranteed to be present there (cheap prices), buy as much as you could of everything, and just sell all the wares in the Cargbay terminal of your ship to the Hideout itself (expensive prices). Rinse and repeat until the Scrap Trader full inventory is empty. This alone will net you millions each day with minimal effort. Not even traveling required.
At this point, missions/smuggling/bounties are only needed for Notoriety, Rep or the occasional quest requiring it. But money wise, the income is not even remotely comparable to the Pirate Hideout trading method.

Interesting analysis. The traits insidious and devious by design add intelligence so the escape probability increase needs to be balanced with the value of the intelligence increase.
In a few weeks from now, I will pause my patreon and subscribe star page payments (I do not want to get any payments while I'm in a tech update cycle) and go into a full SDK update for my game engine and the underlying python version. In the following vetting process of the upgraded code, I will address a whole number of balancing issues and this might be one of them.
If all goes well my game code will be ready for space journey 2 after that tech update
If I nuke my tool chain with that upgrade then I will have to move on to a totally different game with a new game engine... But let's hope it all turns out well.

Well you are still recommended to get your trader fame up to atleast 20 before leaving the star system by doing missions as it will allow you to procure the base and hencefor allow you to build and recover your warehouse.
Notority is only usefull by smuggling drugs for that redhead and than fight pirates in the Allerati system and farm bots to upgrade MCs Techskill by quality controll them... before selling them at the station.

I'm probably (not "prolly", I HATE "prolly") the biggest Grammar Nazi I know, and I have come to the conclusion that almost everyone who speaks English tends to egregiously abuse the language in their casual writing; so much so that it frequently triggers my OCD and requires remarkable restraint on my part to keep from responding with snarky comments. Yet, I've also come to the conclusion that I'm occasionally guilty of not catching my own typos.
In a perfect world, we'd all be better at not calling others out over things that, in the end, really aren't substantive.
Or, put another way:
As an addendum to this strategy, acquiring Eternium for wealth transfer between game versions is also time consuming and absurdly expensive. The better option, after purchasing the Tenaris base from Vigo, is to stockpile Voron torpedo launchers from the Scrap Trader, which have the same mass, but will earn a Cr 2+ million markup at the Iltari Station; and almost twice that if exported to the Arellarti system.
Woah, woah, I'm a spelling National Socialist, not a grammar one. Spelling is pretty fixed with the English language, whereas grammar is admittedly more fluid. But since this ain't French and since there is no English equivalent to the Académie française (for better or for worse), it's kind of moot regarding grammar. But spelling? Not that difficult to reread something real quick and determine if the correct words agree instead of relying on some squiggly red lines underneath them. Also, did I use "ain't" instead of "isn't?" Yes, yes I did.
But I digress. If the dev wants to write a more complicated rep system than a single axis, that's their prerogative. Still, considering how complete this game is, probably easier to do something like that in the sequel/next game; especially considering how much easier it would be to write the additional dialogue initially rather than cram extra stuff in later.
Any of y'all who paid for the early 1.50 release, would you say theres enough new content to warrant the download? How much extra time would you say it added to the game?

It is still possible to get ridiculous income with this shell. Lots of grinding mind you, but possible.
Aye ive already gone through it once, what i mean is: is it worth doing it over again for the new content. It is not exactly a 5 minutes playthrough and i've seen everything from 1.40 already xD
