The multiverse pod? You can load items into it and send it off so a new game can retrieve those items to change the early game.

I use it to make the early game substantially easier -- mainly a bunch of top-end ship systems, one stupendous bot to send to the arcade, one tellurian disc to make an early bottleneck quest easier, a few alien cores, and a mark ii missile launcher to sell for early cash. If you want to use it for this purpose, make certain you keep the amount transferred low enough to fit inside a starting ship inventory (25).

Alternatively, you can load it right up and wait to use it until after you have your warehouse and unload the pod there.
No, I get that but I'm trying to figure out what the Mysterious Cube does.

Oh! Those are keys for Underverse treasures found on wrecks in the NX system. You need progressively more of them. The cost starts at 3 and grows by one each use. There are three wrecks. Each time you open a wreck you get your option of a single reward. The first two you only get to open once. One holds 2 different high-end weapons. The second holds 2 different high-end shields. The repeatable wreck holds more generic rewards.

Thanks for the save. I noticed one inconsistency: your arrival in arellarti was not logged correctly (not sure why).

You can fix it easily on your end 8as the save is otherwise fine)
  • enter game console with SHIFT-O
  • enter: GAME.mc.hasDone("arrival_arellarti")
  • leave console with "exit"
  • with that your game sate is consistent again
What to do next
  • change a room or wait an hour ingame -> quest "Inquiries in Krell Space" triggers
  • go to arellarti and talk to pet owner (rumours, chat, praise pet)
  • quest "The Pet Owner" triggers
  • chat with tris during the day and there will be an interaction
  • ...the Journey continues...
Question so i can localize the error cause and fix it in the code:
- Was this game started from 0 or an intermediate starting point?
- did you ever use URM or some other mod?
- are you running on an exotic emulator or VM?
- did you ever enter cheat codes in the command console?

Thanks to everyone who responded to my request for help :)

- By habit, I always put urm in the games I play, but here I saw that it was useless, and I saw on the form that it posed a problem to the game, so I removed it.
- Otherwise, I started a game from scratch, because it's the first time I've played it.
- As for the commands, I used ITMShellXInventory, because I'd given the item to Nimhe, and I didn't know how to get it back.
(She really bugged me on this quest to find out what the problem was).
- And no emulator, I'm on Windows.

There has been a good post in this thread explaining better than I can whyts the issue with URM and python heavy code.

I have looked at your save. It again has a logical situation that is impossible to occur (again an MC flag that is not set / has vanished and a timer that has vanished). Something is wrong with your save / gamne state.

To not get into some groundhog day type of situation this is what I recommend:
  • save all your good bots and gear in the multiverse pod
  • install V1.50 in a new folder
  • stay away from URM or any mode with that install!
  • start a new game, select the right point (e.g. Voron System unlocked)
  • fly to the Rift pick up your gear, straighten out your ship and continue
Takes all of 10 minutes. (I searched around my code for longer than that by now in the vague hope I might find an overlooked bug...which I gladly did as sometimes I'm happy to discover an edge case. Makes no sense to do that in a corrupted state though...)

Thanks for submitting the save for analysis.

On the plus side through this analysis I found how to live check whether URM is running and I'll immediately throw a message and restart to not have ppl start with a gimped game unknowingly... ;)

I have never used URM nor looked at its code, but I am a developer with a heavily-modified copy of SJX's code, have modded plenty of other games, and so can guess at what the problem is.

URM probably works fine on dumb games: VN 'games' with basically no code. SJX is not a dumb game. It has many classes, instanced objects of those classes, and lots of loops and callbacks with important return values. A "universal" mod is never going to work for a non-dumb game; the smarter, the more complex the game code is, the more likely a "universal" mod is to break or corrupt something. It does not matter if you never make any changes; the mod has to make changes to the game in order to spy on the game and show you stuff, so the damage is already done.

v1.50_15 bug. I went to talk to Moira, then went into the hall to check into the Holodeck to check Seraphine's first horse training scene. That kicked me back into the hallway, where Moira was standing like it was her room. Except the map said it was actually her room I was in, but the background was Deck 2's hallway.

Since I have no idea how to fully reproduce this, or it can happen with other characters, here's the save where she's standing in the Hallway/bedroom. (Oh, this isn't a softlock or anything, I can exit to the hall just fine and resume normal play, it's just a weird edge-case I think).

Probable bug: pony training Seraphine when not in Krell space.

I jumped into Krell space and started pony training Seraphine -- first day of three and went to the holodeck to watch. I returned to Quthor space the next day. At 1900 I met Seraphine in her room and collected her purchases then met Vee on the bridge. I went to the holodeck and found Vee and Seraphine engaged in pony training.

Il y a eu un bon article dans ce fil expliquant mieux que moi pourquoi le problème avec l'URM et le code lourd Python.

J'ai regardé votre sauvegarde. Elle présente à nouveau une situation logique qui ne peut pas se produire (encore une fois un indicateur MC qui n'est pas défini / a disparu et un minuteur qui a disparu). Il y a un problème avec votre sauvegarde / état de jeu.

Pour ne pas se retrouver dans une situation de type « jour sans fin », voici ce que je recommande :
  • sauvegardez tous vos bons robots et équipements dans le pod multivers
  • installer V1.50 dans un nouveau dossier
  • restez loin de l'URM ou de tout mode avec cette installation !
  • démarrer une nouvelle partie, sélectionner le bon point (par exemple, système Voron déverrouillé)
  • volez vers la faille, récupérez votre équipement, redressez votre vaisseau et continuez
Cela prend 10 minutes. (J'ai cherché dans mon code pendant plus longtemps que cela à ce stade, dans le vague espoir de trouver un bug négligé... ce que j'ai fait avec plaisir, car parfois, je suis heureux de découvrir un cas limite. Cela n'a aucun sens de faire cela dans un état corrompu cependant...)

Merci d'avoir soumis la sauvegarde pour analyse.

Du côté positif, grâce à cette analyse, j'ai découvert comment vérifier en direct si URM est en cours d'exécution et je vais immédiatement lancer un message et redémarrer pour éviter que les gens ne démarrent avec un jeu gimpé sans le savoir...;)

That's it, I've managed to transfer almost everything to the new part, (what's a shame is that the robot and character inventory modules don't transfer).
I've also noticed that character quests lag behind the story when you start a new game at a certain stage.
But in any case, thanks again for your help!

I love your game, so if one day you decide to sell it on a platform like steam, gog or whatever, I'll buy it!

Suggested corrections continued

29 - Bot Lab while choosing a new Cortex, hovering mouse over a Precursor Cortex shows the item description along the left side of screen. The description for all Precursor Cortex has a typo. It says "...Providing Superiopr levels of..."
30 - Gallery for Seraphine is missing image of her in the bathtub holding the yellow duck toy.
31 - Seraphine gets bored. Nimhe is tasked to setup shopping channel. After 2 days Nimhe reports the terminal is setup in Seraphine's room. She says "I've linked the Terminal right into to the Trade Network..." should remove redundant word to.
32 - When giving Ponygirl costume to Nimhe, MC says "How about I take your for a walk around the ship?" simplest correction would be to drop the r, change your to you.
33 - After training T'Ris and giving her a Krell Plug and assigning her to wear it during morning setup. Following days during morning setup do not show the counting tally of how many days she has been plugged. I had her train on the Dancing Pole, so this activity removed the plug and thus didn't count at end of day?
34 - When back in Iltari Station and asking Nimhe to begin training with walks on the station, MC says "Wear you normal outfit." I think you should be your.
35 - Again during same conversation when taking Nimhe for walk on station, MC says "Let me adjust you jacket a bit..." This also needs to change you to your.
36 - When inspecting Seraphine in her Revealing uniform, she says "Ship Protocoal, I know...." There are 2 things wrong here. 1st is the 4 periods. 2nd is the spelling of Prorocol.
37 - Unsure if this was deliberate or an omission. When accessing a Jump Gate and moving cursor over the various connected systems within the Jump Network. There is a popup with information on each system. The descriptions on some perhaps should be changed, up to you. As a template, the Krell system of Arellarti lists the Krell Oligarchy both at the top right of the popup and again within the body text beneath. Quthor mentions Drengarian Republic in both top right and in the body text beneath. However... the Iltari and Xenos systems are different. Iltari says Human Democracy at the top and Iltari Alliance in the body text below. And Xenos says Voron Technocracy at the top and Voron Empire beneath it.
38 - When in Xenos System, and being contacted by Ylyee to get access to the Library. MC says "What reserach exactly?" Research is misspelled.
39 - After having Seraphine wear the Revealing uniform for a while, MC has some morning thoughts about her progress. MC says "Great the Seraphine will wear her Revealing Uniform uniform now..." Redundant use of uniform twice.
40 - When speaking with the Grand Archivar Kythera for the first time. At end she wants to sample primitive mating practices. She says "Not if it isn't part of your procreation techniques.." I assume this was supposed to have 3 periods. It only has 2.
41 - same conversation. MC says "Just wait a a moment." Redundant a.
42 - When convincing Seraphine to dance. She says "Fine" usually you have a period or 3 periods after every statement. This one has neither.
43 - When entering the Xenos System Precursor Field for first time, you are encountered by the Zealots of Yr. The Zealot Commander says "You presence here constitutes a disturbance." You should be changed to Your.
44 - Same conversation, when crew discussing the offer of a Disruptor. Khelara says "A nifty pice of technology for sure..." You misspelled piece.
45 - If deciding to attack the Zealots of Yr. MC says "We have a mission to fullfil." you misspelled fulfill. The double L's are at end of word not the front.
46 - After completing the Xenos Precursor Missions and reporting to the Xenos Library, you speak with the Grand Archivar again. She talks about Voron Hyperdrive. MC says "I have already a Hyperdrive." This sentence is dyslexic. Should say "I already have a Hyperdrive."
47 - At end of the conversation with Grand Archivar she proposes you continue helping her with her studies of primitive mating rituals. However she says something the MC should instead say. Kythera says "How can I be of help?" But this is supposed to be the MC saying this. Both the image of the speaker and the textbox say it is Kythera speaking as the MC.
48 - After starting construction of Base Hyperjump Gate. Following morning you are contacted by Ylyee. She says "In order to locate that node we need the 4th Map Fragment form Quthor System." form is supposed to be from. And couldn't hurt to add the word the also. "...from the Quthor System."
49 - Same conversation, Ylyee begins to explain that the MC has been granted access to the Voron Hyperjump and goes into detail explaining its function etc. This entire portion of dialogue is a mirror repeat of what the Grand Archiver says. Feels broken to have the identical conversation by 2 different characters. Maybe cut out Ylyee explaining it, since Grand Archiver already did. Or if this conversation is necessary for players who chose different option to completion of the Xenos Precursor Field Mission. Then perhaps add a dialogue trigger. If player chooses to attack Zealots, then skip Ylyee repeat of dialogue. Or something equivalent, so dialogue is not heard twice.
50 - Speaking with Krogneath about giving him the Princess. Krogneath says "I know it would..." This should say "I knew it would..."

Hey YV, if you are don't mind hearing it, I've got two sets of things I'd like to see at some point before you move onto whatever the next project is.

First, I'd love it if you would make quality control scenes for the rest of the Bot shells. In v1.50, we only have scenes for the basic bot, and the Type V and Type N. I really wish we had scenes for the K/C, L, and the premium shells (Protector, Infiltrator, Golden Seductress, Galaxina). I suspect the Infiltrators scene should have it being on top and dominant to the Captain, it would be thematic.

Second, in the horse races, you've got a bunch of art for the horse racers that you only see when a racer wins. I haven't done many races yet, but I suspect the different racers have unique art. My request is that we get some sort of gallery scene unlock that has all the racers in one screenshot (kinda like Nimhe's lab blowjob 4-piece). I'm not sure what the unlock requirements could be, maybe have any racer other than Nimhe/Serahina win?

...I had no idea about 15-20+, this is the first time in several runs I've gotten to 15. Unlike the female crew members who get a popup saying what higher Tech skill levels get, we the MC get no clue until we actually get to that point. Kinda surprising...


On a different note, I might have another bug, and/or exploit. In v1.50, at the Assembly Fields, is entering the Assemby Fields meant to not take any time at all? Like, I'm trying to reroll for an Assembler encounter, but I've had 3 resource grab successes in a row without rerolling. Sure, Carbon resources and computer chips are pretty minor, but to have no time at all be used? Kinda seems like an exploit.

Yes, I kind of forgot to add the main character to the pop-up menu system. Once you have exceeded level 20 you get a message from bb2 who tells you that you now can upgrade generations of parts In the laboratory. There is a little triangle appearing next to the wrench symbol next to each part. With that upgrading, you can then increase your capability up to 30 I think

Regarding the special sites in the last star system, I made them more of a reward than a challenge.
So you can for example mine all the elements, find high-end bot parts, and so on. The challenges were meant to be the beacons and I got enough heat for that (it seems nowadays no one plays with a pen and a piece of paper next to the computer anymore ...) :)
Thinking about it I should still add 1h time consumption for assembly fields...

Bah! Pen? Paper? I just took a phone pic of the clues. :D
It's a little awkward, since the crew member talking in the scene is wearing the Risque outfit, so their tits are hanging out. What a great thing to have handing out in my phone gallery. haha.


EDIT:

On a seperate note, I was checking the Bot Analyzer in the lab, trying to figure out why my bot was worth more with a Gen3 Military L shell, than with an Gen3 Military Galaxina one. Only to realize that for whatever reason, the personality "Galaxina", despite being in pink color, DOESN'T give any bonus to value. It's a 1x bonus. Whereas my Hive Queen bot gets 2.5x. Even a green Palace Mistress gets 1.5x. Protector/Seductress/Infiltrator is a 2.0x, and both are pink colored.

Why was that particular decision made? I love Galaxina shells for the Devoted attitude and the bonuses to the various Likes, but the personality being no bonus at all seems like a bit of a stretch.
