I have placed the ores as described in the walkthrough at the Beacon. I hit activate and nothing happens.
Maybe you mixed one up?.
- If you hover over them all should display the "exclusive to star system xyz" tooltip
- the star sys mentioned in the hover tooltip should be the one the symbol belongs to
Walkthrough sequence is correct I think

That is interesting.
Didn't think it would work on iOS considering all the under the hood stuff I did in python...

Don't know what a d Pad is but I could add a clickable "cross button" thingie without much issues I assume...
Now I absolutely need to try and test this, I would have never believed SJX would work on iOS before.

As for the D-Pad thing, it's a contraction of "directional pad", which is the classic + shaped button of console controllers, which is usually mimicked by drawing one onscreen within touch-enabled devices.

Something like this (sorry for the potato quality photo):

Here is the screenshot. I am fairly certain they are in the order of the walkthrough. View attachment 4532589
At first glimpse this looks okay.
I assume you are not using any mod and you are playing the game on a platform it has been designed for. Otherwise there might be issues with the user interface.
If all that is the case and if you know how to find your save game, I would be interested to have a look at your save game to identify what might be the issue...

I've been playing this for a few days, some way through the froggo system so far. It's very fun, I'm enjoying the grind, and I love the slow pushing of boundaries with the crew members.
This game reminded me of an old-ish Russian game called Space Rangers, even though that one's a procedurally generated sandbox while this is a handcrafted smaller scope story. It's probably the general vibe of flying around on a spaceship, mining, trading, doing missions, fighting bandits, earning rep, and finding new systems.

First of all, can someone confirm how bot skills work? As far as I understand:
* All skills start at 0, and can be trained to a cap
* The cap is variable, depending on the cortex gen, and invisible until you reach it
* The blue bar shows current skill level on the 0-100 range; as long as the bar is shown, actual level value is not displayed
* Modules raise the cap by the specified number
* QC lets you raise the cap of the skill of your choice
* Heart and frown face icons, I actually have no idea what they do. Perhaps faster and slower training?
* Green text on skill names - also no idea
* "Expert" labels on skills - I think they just mean capped and very high

Next, I have a ton of feedback and suggestions. Hope some of it is worth something.

Sometimes it comes down to hardware. My touchscreen was slightly out of alignment. I touched the very top of the Activate button and it worked. Sorry to make you work hard for something on my end. Thank you for the quick responses! It helped me narrow it down to my end.

Good to hear you enjoy the game so far and thanks for the suggestions.
I always try to include a few QoL elements with every release and there are a number of good proposals in above.

There is a (short) section on Bots in the game reference.

* All skills start at 0, and can be trained to a cap
-> skill caps have a "base range" tapping out around 120 without amplifiers
* The cap is variable, depending on the cortex gen, and invisible until you reach it
-> if you bot has a cap above 100, it is indicated with small star next to its name
* The blue bar shows current skill level on the 0-100 range; as long as the bar is shown, actual level value is not displayed
-> as long as the bar is there, the cap is not reached
* Modules raise the cap by the specified number
-> yes
* QC lets you raise the cap of the skill of your choice
-> yes
* Heart and frown face icons, I actually have no idea what they do. Perhaps faster and slower training?
-> training speed and valuation of associated skill levels
* Green text on skill names - also no idea
-> "value" roughly from red, orange, yellow, green, purple
* "Expert" labels on skills - I think they just mean capped and very high
-> trained (actual) skill surpassed 95 (90ish)

That's "bot potential", right?

And a few more bot related questions:
* I found Galaxina bot from a bounty in Iltari and turned it in for 50mil. Is there anything else I could do with it, or is it just a way to randomly get rich? I read people mention Galaxina shell in the thread, is it related?
* Is there anything else to do with the Infiltrator bot after I'm done with her first mission? I kept her in a container ever since and I wonder if I've missed out on something.
* This might be my memory playing tricks on me, but did someone (Nimhe?) mention making bots to fulfill orders? That is, making bots with certain stats according to the order. (if it's not a thing, consider it a feature suggestion)
Edit: the walkthrough mentions bot orders, but I can't find them in the game. Do they unlock later?

You can store any cargo in the Warehouse including complete or partially complete bots. Bots do not escape from there. I also have a lot of Collapser Torpedoes stored. Voron Torpedoes store there, too. As long as I don't do another Multiverse Pod save there, inventory returns just as it was. I find the Warehouse very useful.
If I understand your comment correctly, you are saying that the warehouse is great for hoarding crap you don't want to sell. Which is pretty much, exactly what I said.

I absolutely agree with you that using the warehouse to store things is fantastic (and I did (and still do) use it to store things). The issue I have is that retrieving things from the warehouse is a pain in the ass.

Bots do not escape their bot container, it has nothing to do with them being stored in the warehouse.

I have 200t of cargo storage on the ship and in the late game I have 300t of storage. Carrying around 20-30 torpedoes was pretty standard for me, storing them in the warehouse didn't help me when I was in the middle of a fight.
Plus, it was still quicker and easier (for myself, at least) to just hang out at the Voron station for a day or two, restocking torpedoes, than it was to hang out at the station, stock up on torpedoes, send those torpedoes to the warehouse, and then wait to recall those torpedoes if I ran low.

The warehouse is useful, my issue with it is that retrieving things from it is a pain and it is just quicker and easier for me to stop at a nearby space station and restock what I need.

hi can i just ask is this finished now or isit ongoing story wise ?
The "complete" tag on this forum means that you can play the game from beginning to at least one ending. In the case of SJX it is still getting updates and content, how much and for how long y.v(the developer) themselves have to say. :)

I dimly remember to have added an auto buy option. Any item in your possession at the time of the order you can have the warehouse automatically buy and stock (contingent caps can be set). You can do that also with torpedoes. :)

Thanks.

I knew that you can have the warehouse auto-stock torpedoes (and other modules and consumables). I can have the warehouse auto-stock the 3 basic torpedoes (photon, neutron, and BFT).
You cannot have the warehouse stock Voron torpedoes and once you get to the point where bounty missions are difficulty 4 or 5 and the Voron Cultists start randomly appearing, the basic 3 torpedo types are not that useful.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just to clarify, I am not having problems playing the game or not having enough torpedoes.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have plenty of torpedoes and stocks of all the other consumables and ship modules. I am just griping about the 2 day delay with retrieving anything from the warehouse to where I am located at.

As an example:
I loaded up a save I had right before the end of the game. It was 12:00, I traveled from The Waystation to my base, via jump gates, and I arrived at the base at about 18:00 (may have been 19:00) on the same day, I then goofed around, spend the night there sleeping, and travel back to The WayStation.
At the same time those 2 trips, I used the drone tool on the terminal in the cargo bay and ordered one of the drones to deliver me a stock of 10 BFT torpedoes. I was able to travel via the jump gates, to my base, spend the night at the base, and then return all the way to The Waystation ... And the drone still had not arrived with my torpedoes.

It just bugs the crap out of me that I have to spend a couple days, in game, to receive anything from the drones.

despite the good work those torpedoes do for starters, on later game your enemies are tough enough to need too many of them, have you tried using the voron disruptor? (can get one from belit, and maybe also from yourself using the multiverse pod) as its ranged damage capability by using mods is a good tool to take out both drones as ships at same time, just need to make correct moves to make them pack close enough, and when have a full powered voron shield with cloak modules, can cloak up to two times in same combat being able to refresh your full moves even without having asteroids to look for cover..

about warehouse drones, take in mind those are from iltarii manufacture even for a pirate/smuggler friend like vigo, maybe someday we may replace them for some voron drones able to travel faster through gates as you do with the voron warp drive, but i can say that with my current combats dont need to restock torpedoes at all, i can use 1-3 as much in a combat and get a replacement even for better ones by looting enemies

No, I haven't tried the voron disruptor. Yet.

I have only played through the game once and I sided against the cultists and lost the chance then to get that disruptor. I found out later, here on the forums, that there is a chance to get one from Belit. By the time I found out about that, I had found the Precursor ship, unlocked it and I picked the Hellhammer weapon. I love that gun! That thing hits like a freight train and takes no prisoners.

Trying to get enemy ships to group up, for AOE attacks, is like herding cats. A pain in the ass. I got tired of trying to herd cats ships into groups, so I just adopted the policy of spending torpedoes like they were free.
Between the earnings from my bots and from selling ship components dropped by dead enemies, I never had a problem funding my torpedo spending spree, I think I finished the game with about 500 million credits, so, affording Voron torpedoes was never an issue for me.

I am playing through the game a second time right now, but I am kind of dragging my feet on it at the moment. I am up to the part where I have to deal with the Krell and the whole slave/pet play thing just doesn't 'do it' for me.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Something I am interesting in finding are where the hell the Underverse weapon and shield modules can be found.
If it is Belit, well that's a big facepalm on my part. I looked at her wares once and didn't see anything special at the time, so I just ignored her.

thats specially the point, as you can get voron modules to expand area quite easily, but those dont work on underverse weaponry

keep looking belit from time to time but i think underverse stuff is too hard to get, so if sometime get any, try to analize it to be able to replicate them, there is also a random event from the curious trader that often sells interesting stuff but for huge prices, like mk3 engine and cargo (1 extra move / 100 more storage)

Which cocktail do I have to bring to Khelara before the bathroom scene? I've tried Drengarian Fire and Voronian Vortex to no avail. Which Time? 18h? Do I have to do it multiple times?

You need Drengarian Ice Tea, from the mess hall dispenser or the space bar. You can give it to her after work at 18:00. Once is enough.
