Whenever you run the RenPy game it creates the "log.txt" file in game's folder. There will be more details about the error there. You can provide this file for further assistance. But I can strongly suggest something is wrong with OpenGL and/or video drivers on your system - you probably don't have graphic acceleration at all because of "powersafe" state - so you're getting this error the moment a fade animation between the screens appears.
Well shoot. You're right. I checked my GPU settings and it was treating this game specifically like a leper for some reason. Moment I told it to stop being silly the whole things runs perfectly. Thanks for the help, bud.

How to start at the new content? When I select the captain's icon in "start", it pulls me to Watt's storyline. Which was way back from what I remember.

I'm trying to run the game but

Like, I execute it with double click, enter/return key, and it literally just won't run

It isn't running in the background either because when I try to fully delete the game folder it doesn't stop me from doing it as if it can't delete something that's being executed, so I'm unsure how to proceed

try disabling your antivirus when you install it, if you have some shitty third party AV, it might be blocking you from doing whatever you are doing

Tried adding it as an exception in Windows Defender(the only AV I have)

Doesn't seem to be working

For me, some games just take a real long while to start the first time. But I presume you've tried waiting for a bit.
