VN - Ren'Py - Special Request: In the Web of Corruption [v2.8] [Nemiegs]

This game really surprised me, I'm really going to support the creator, visually it's exquisite, the story could include more fetishes even so I think it's very well done. In short, it is a very well made game, it meets the expectations generated.

5 star great game . The most distinctive feature of this work is the plot design . Experience the story of revelation and corruption from the perspective of the main character . The last few updates to NTR have also been of very high quality . Updates faster than many other games .

First of all, don't let the graphic quality stops you at the beginning. It gets better as the dev improves his skills (I would even suggest to the dev to rework the beginning of the game because I nearly quit because of this).

For the review:

Finally a game who goes deep into humiliation and blackmail. Most of the game usually takes a few step back after some times because "it goes too far", but not this one.

The girls keep getting abused, humiliated and used like an object. I also like the fact the main girl is not turning into a slut and actually dislike all of this, which is kind of unique as it is usually not the case.

Also, it has a good amount of content at the moment, so, go for it.

It's definitely not the best game on the site. But, It is definitely the damn best game in the genre.

PROS
+ The kinks are done just right (Exhibitionism/ Humiliation/ Corruption/ Non-con).
+ Dresses/ Outfits are beautiful and sexy.
+ The game understands that not everything has to lead to sex, there are multiple ways of enjoying erotic content/ nudity.
+ Multiple storylines and characters with their own personality. The suspense of the story keeps me at the edge of my seat.
+ Content is diverse and never feels repetitive. It happens a lot towards the end of most of the VNs, I find myself just ctrl skipping most of the content because the end game is usually just raw sex.
I did not skip this game.
+ The MC is not a dumbass and is actually trying to do something bout the situation. SO yes, the story is good.
+ The graphics are amazing. At times, I even had to pause and check if this isn't a real picture.

CONS
- Expressions and anatomy.... Honestly, the graphics are amazing but the same cannot be said for the anatomy... Boobs are a little to anti gravity sometimes, and the facial expressions are a little off.
- Sticking to the core and old story. I feel like author is working alone so they kind of forgot some things that I was really looking forward to. (like different dresses each day at work)


STORY: 4/5
The story is done right. It's believable and keeps you interested throughout. All characters have their motives and agenda. Its a classic downfall story with a lot of cliches, but those cliches are done well and are flavorful. Nothing to jab at here.

CONCLUSION: 5/5
The game has it's cons and you will find them to be distracting at times, but that should not stop you from enjoying one of the best Corruption/Humiliation/Exhibitionism game so far on this website.
It is worth at least two playthroughs for covering all the branching choices that game has to offer.

This is a classic female protagonist corruption game. As the description of the game says, it was originally an RPG Maker game but has been converted to, in my opinion, a much more streamlined and enjoyable Ren'Py game. The game pretty much follows the tags so definitely check those out to see if you'll like the content. Also, there are quite a few interesting side scenes/storylines that are easily missable so definitely keep an eye out for those.

The story is about Laura and her friend Beatrice.Laura is a businesswoman occupying a high position in a company.She has a loving husband.Everything changes after one night in the company of friends someone put a drug in her drink and plotted against Laura she doesn't know what is happening to her.In the morning she wakes up in her house, she doesn't remember anything and the only trace of that night is a large amount of sperm dripping down her legs. She decides to call her friends, but they don't tell her much or don't want to tell her what happened.She decides to go to her job and so her nightmare begins.Beatrice is Laura's friend, Laura visited her a few times at the orphanage.It is possible that I don't remember Beatrice's story well.She falls into the hands of the wrong people.

I'm surprised the creators didn't continue the story from the RPG of the same name,Yes the story has plot holes and is often not logical

The other is actually terribly hopeless and illogical. Laura can very quickly become a turbo slut. Or less of a slut.

so far this is being one of the best blackmailing & humiliation/ENF games i have ever played. renders and animations are very good and look somewhat different from most daz3D games, probably because of the use of lighting and shadows. some of the females are very pretty and sexy, some more so than the MC herself (beatrice, raina, janette and ingrid come to mind). sound effects are in place, maybe a few too many screms but i can't really blame her the way things go. i don't expect too much from this type of games in terms of story depth or character sophistication, so no disappointment in that regard either. there are some grammar mistakes, mostly the use of "a" instead of "the", but nothing that really bothered me. in the end it's a most enjoyable game i'm looking forward to playing until its end.

Have to say that this is a game for me.
Blackmail is so great and all characters seem good. Old, ugly, good looking. There is for everyone someone that can use you.
I like especially the aspect that player can not just wiggle out somehow.

Can not say much about mechanics, i am not a technical person but it looks great to me.

I really hope that this will taken further at some point. Perhaps with multiple choices how the story concludes.

TL;DR: A rather by the books, formulaic humiliation simulator in the vein of Fashion Business. Follows a proper wife's fall from grace. Only play you are strongly into female humiliation.

PROS:

• Beautiful character
• Renders are nice.
• Animations are OK
• A better game than Fashion Business: it is more fun and not filled with stupid grindy bullshit.

CONS:

• The story is generic as can be: run-of-the-mill blackmail by some shady power, followed by feeble attempts by the protagonist to regain control.
• Most side characters are lecherous pawns: the only characters with motivations other than lust are the MC, any other women being abused and big boss.
• The writing is lacklustre: dialogue is slow and lacking personality, and a lot of the text is begging for a proofread.

I first played this game as RPGM.
I seen it has since been switched to renpy. I thought maybe they might have made some improvements on it surely it getting worse couldn't be possible.

I was wrong.

This game story has giant plot hole on top of giant plot hole.
*The MC is blackmailed to change jobs. The premise being she wouldn't want her spouse or others to find out what she had done. Yet, instead they expect her to go along with stuff far more compromising and likely to be found out.
*They present the MC as being smart best in the business. But she hasn't the intelligence to use the smart phone or any other device to catch these people blackmailing her.
*She doesn't check the brief case. Doesn't make sure the car door is locked or anything else we supposedly transporting money. She was at a level in a business that anyone would know the basic SOP for such movements of currency or anything important.

The shear volume of issues of this type and level would make this a complete failure for any international writing exam for 5th grade or above.

Art quality.
Most the credit for this goes to the individual who developed the render software, models and assets used.
That said selecting the posses and creating the scene would be to this developers credit.

I wanted to see if maybe it was just me when it came to my review of the plot. So I talked to a number of friends I share books with. One in particular stood out. The lady lives fairly near me and is what I call a humanitarian. She can't have kids so she spends her time helping others. Adopting and sheltering animals training some of them to be help animals and taking them around to places like cancer centers and places were children and elderly are so they can interact and telling stories and helping in other means.
Her first instincts were go to the police. I explained that is one option she doesn't have at least locally. She then said state and or federal authorities. Lawyer, record stuff herself, use the internet. I asked her to expand on what she meant by internet. She said make it publicly visible were they couldn't hide from it, then seek others to help, or look up how to get back and or hurt or even get rid of these people if they were willing to do this to her life why would doing anything to resolve the issue not be on the table.
So I asked would you go so far as to kill them. Her reply was, "Painfully"

If a much more ordinary but passive person is willing to take such steps how the hell is this story even reasonable. It isn't.
If this story was drawn with cartoonish characters you might be able to say well it isn't supposed to be realistic its just for fun. But that's lost when you create more realistic images of people. You can't disconnect the story from the visual realism and expect readers to be ok with it. The only people who are going to be ok with it are those individuals who simply skip from scene to scene to wack off. In short they aren't interested in the story. At that point you may as well just make this a slide show.

It doesn't end there though. See the lines and dialog also aren't written in a non serious manor. So you have further more a suggestion this is supposed to be a work on a serious or realistic level.

If it was based on the art alone I'd give 1 star. That's to cover the work the developer did himself.

The writing gets ZERO stars on its own.

Combining the art with the writing I would give negative 3 stars on a scale of 0 to 4. It literally demands stars be taken away.
The only value this story holds is as an example of how not to write a story. That's why it is negative 3 and not negative 5.

I was hoping they would take the time to fix the plot holes when moving from rpgm to renpy that didn't happen.
I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone. Reading the plot can only make you loose intelligence. Use rpatool unzip the archive and just use an image viewer. You'll be better off just doing that and you won't have to click through the dialog.

-1 point for all the continue story boxes at home each day.

So final total score -4 stars.

One of the most underrated blackmail games I have played. For this reason, it deserves 5 stars. Really taking into account some imperfections, it deserves to be assessed in the range 4.8 - 4.6 out of 5 points.

You simply do not forget this game and you are waiting impatiently for the next parts.

In 2-3 years, if the developer maintains the pace of work on the game, it will be one of the best games regardless of the category, although it may still be underestimated and difficult to find in a sea of average and weak competing overrated productions.

Pro:
++ Perfect Incredibly Rich Scenario ----- 6 points out of 5.
+ sensational atmosphere of the game that affects the player's imagination

cons:
- slow pace of progress (despite the huge amount of work already done) in such a rich scenario - at least 10 years of work for one developer for the full implementation of such an interesting and rich scenario

This game is all over the place. Nutty story combined with haphazard storytelling means it's just a set of tied together renders. Corruption comes way too easily and then it's just repeated over and over. There is no sense of a fall from grace, just a "Oops you are fucked."

Dev clearly knows how to churn out the scenes, but the story makes it a ll just feel like a waste.

It's quite the blackmail story.
The female protagonist starts of as a rather prudish woman who is forced to swticht to a new job where she is being manipulated and corrupted.

The way the is being played by the blackmailer might seem a bit off at first, but later on this seems to get better.

The scenes are kinky and rendered nicely.
I can't remember any big gramatical errors, but I'm not a native English speaker myself

I would higly recommend this game for those who are into corruption / blackmail / female protagonist games.

Anyone wondering whether to play this game or not should know one thing right up front - it has a TON of content and none if it could ever happen in the real world. There is no sense of connection to reality at all. An entire building full of guys abusing girls on the daily and making some semblance of doing deals with other morally corrupt people.

Lots of content. Lots of naked girls and massive dicks doing things to them and a weird disconnect from actual personalities that makes the whole thing feel plasticy.

That said - if you just wanna get off staring at mediocre (but plentiful) rendered sex scenes then you hit the jackpot.

the humilition in this game is top notch, with the story that kind of makes sense, this game should get more exposure.

really nice characters, i think need a bit of work with facial feature, but still nice.
nice animations, and with moans sounds, which makes this game better than a lot of other games that dont have it.
the gameplay is ok, standard renpy vn, just make sure you read carefully and click everything that can be click (especially on the map).

overall game is 5/5 for me.

I've been here since this vn first published in here. Gotta say its amazing how far it got, dev definitely improved himself over time along with the game. The change RPGM to Renpy is always welcome and appreciated

Honestly im mostly here for the corruption part rather than all that blackmails going on, even then game is still very enjoyable.

I like a lot this kind of games. I never played before because i hate RPGM gameplay. Good work porting it to Ren'py.
In the other hand the MC is pretty beatiful. Very different from the main characters we usually see, which is good.
