Interesting enough first draft. Not a lot of games like this out there. Hope the dev sticks with it.
It's kinda wonky as hell right now of course, but that's to be expected. Hopefully we also get to zoom in a little closer in the future. Not much to even see right now.
Not a fan of holding buttons to interact with objects. I'd say I appreciate giving me time to change my mind about opening doors but really I don't. If its a survival game thing to make it inconvenient then maybe just a delay would suffice. Attacking and aiming is also finnicky. She never swings where your mouse is.
Thank you so much for the kind words!
We’re doing our best to stay close to the community — your feedback seriously fuels the project. <3
And yep, we definitely plan to expand on the variety of scenes — including human encounters as well
Right now we’re focusing on building a solid base, and as we grow, more content (and surprises) will come!
Stay weird, stay safe… and keep the flashlight on
Game wasn't too bad. Looting overall feels tedious since we have to look inside every single cabinet and whatnot. I wanted to play more but never got far outside the house because I died for a dumb reason and I won't play the game further since the hunger mechanic doesn't respect my time. Here's my thoughts as I played the game until I died:
- Right off the bat when first loading up the game... it didn't. Black screen but I could barely make out the games logo on the car. Had to use Task Manager to kill it. Worked fine the second time.
- The main menu. Apparently Game Setting does nothing? I clicked on it and nothing happened.
- Holding a button to proceed and do stuff. Way too long. Please don't make it take so long just to wake up and do other actions. I shouldn't have to hold the button for up to three seconds to accomplish something. I'm just going to assume you can level up in this game down the line and maybe there's a scavenging skill that will make this faster.
- Hoping the player model gets updated cause it's not good.
- Can't shift click things into payer inventory. An absolute must for games with inventory systems. Needs all the little shortcuts like splitting item stacks in half, allow us to take and drop an item in a stack using the scroll wheel or something. Just overall QoL inventory management that we've all experienced ion other games.
- Would be nice to rotate stuff in put inventory with 'R'.
- Dude in the bathroom died and annoyingly I couldn't loot the gun clearly on his back. I hate when games do this. Also he still had dialogue when clicking on his dead body. Kinda funny.
- Pressing escape doesn't pause the game at all.
- Wish we could zoom in even more, especially to see the animations better. I know the terminal is there but I hate how it looks.
- The hunger mechanic is terrible. You lose 5% of your health a second when you're hungry? Seriously? Needs changing ASAP.
- Died to hunger because I was doing something on my second monitor. There is no respawn button and I am not looting the starting house again so I quit.
Soo, 1 enemy and 2 scenes, that's it for now? I've played a little, looks like some food doesn't restore hunger, like soup, or I just got bugged. Also I could only swing axe inside the house in one direction. Overall good base for a game, but for now it feels like v0.0.3 rather than v1.0.3.
Okay, so far I have one major issue testing this game out and that is swinging to attack. For whatever reason the game have me swinging to the right no matter where my cursor is and when I put a zombie in that spot, I seem to magically swing to the upper left. I cannot manage to fight back unless I get random luck. I consider this bug to be game breaking.
Otherwise, I really like the style of the game and curious to how this world will build out. I do hope there will be non-humanoid monsters to fight and a.. you know.
Please, developer, animations, animations, animations. A little plot, and everything will be fine. People need more opportunities for animation, not plot. You will be the best person on the planet.
