Reading the update history it seems no pkmn imitator can resist adding shinies, I really hope they don't have better stats or anything... I'd really hate to find a trainer to solve this.

How much content is there to play at this stage? Enough to start to enjoy it or is it still pretty barebones?

there are 8+ hours of content i think
monster girls max level still is 20 and max afection level is 5
not a review just my thoughts on the early access versions. I spend a decent amount of time on the game (5 hours), caught every available spirit and my main party was all close to lvl 20 (current max level). wasnt my intension it just mostly happened passively, had to go out of my way for 2 spirits that i missed.
First and foremost, the art is fantastic, only criticism is some for animations are repeated. my personal favorite Triboobe sex scene is the seldomly seen nipple fuck, gives me hope that the dev is going to get kinkier
Gameplay is pretty basic but functional, which is fine considering im not looking for amazing gameplay. i have to say stamina > power points and the prio system on attacks make for some good strategy. balance is a bit off, trainers as strong as random encounters, start with their strongest and combat ai plays stupid (why are you healing with max health). but i will say some of this is good because battle can get annoying, not really a first attack sweep type of play, lots of buffing and debuff, gets repetitive, especially because the combat is so basic, there isnt even a special attack and defense.
Butt plug of wisdom is essential because the gameplay is kinda boring it makes leveling up lower level spirit less bothersome, and you want to evolve them because you get a sex scene.
One last thought, Octopussy is probably the best starter, possibly best spirit. high damage, suck (able to heal self), strong attacks and team chant (atk buff for the entire party!)
I really hope that saves dont get nuked per update.

I'm only about a few minutes into the game, and while I like the pixel art, I don't like the lack of battle animations, and I don't like that the overworld movement is so slow and stiff. I hope they speed it up next update.
Still big respect for the dev though. I liked their last game, Scarlet Maiden, a whole lot.

Can i catch the valkyrie and the dragon girl in the cave? The game says i only can catch wild spirits
Those two in specific - no. They are more like bosses - not "wild spirits". You will encounter the dragon girl later as a wild spirit.

They're in the grass around the camp you have to go to for your first "mission".
Dude the lack of "EXP Share" really hurts leveling the wild spirits, too few of the wisdom plug.
