What's up with all the 5 star reviews from people with barely any posts?

They're likely from people who either will take what they can get or it's from people who see Akabur as the Progenitor of what could be considered the western porn game movement or something of that nature, given the success of Princess Trainer. Now after playing the update myself it felt really lackluster. Three scene in a four month period one of which was actual smut. It honestly felt like he was trying to get something out as quickly as possible. Now I can commend him for his art style and attention to detail but the content of this update, as far as the scenes in question go, could have been better.

I think that's very unfair to Akabur. Whether or not you like this update (or the game as a whole), it's clear from his Patreon posts that he's put a huge amount of time and effort into it.

This was not a good update. I enjoy Akabur games and the writing is usually better than most adult games where you can skip 90% of it and not miss anything important. This is the first Star Channel update where I just found myself skipping mos of the dialogue. Unlocking Laras events felt like a chore rather than something to be excited about, and the whole motion capture series was boring as hell. Really disappointing.

Somehow the game told me that I had finished the update and yet I still have most of the events not done (captain events 12/15 for example). After a bit of research (not much, I admit), I found no one reporting that problem.. Could someone explain me how to unlock the events & quests please ? )

I see "episodes", does it mean saves are not ported from 1 episode to another?

i use the save save sinze ep1 and still working great. and of course, because i use shit tons of cheats on it to avoid grinding for stars and money and canisters XD

give it a try. its not as terrible as some say.
its just a bit dissapointing to me because i expected a bit more "actions" with the girls and less "blablabla". this update is heavy on blablabla, well Akabur is always alots in the blablabla but this one is maybe the update that have the most text and less action.

It's a bug, when you finish an event/quest it doesn't update the tracker(probably). Whatever is causing it, all you need to know is that there are no more events after the preview for the next episode.

An example of being tough would be Sean Murray and his No Man's Sky...
He was treated very harshly after publishing a garbage full of lies... look as soon as he was criticized how serious he got and got to work.

There are a lot of creators who also work alone but put out great updates like Sunsterrider for SU. Akabur had 3 Cgs in this update this is like 1 Cg a month. Then they were 2 Backgrounds and 5 outfits. The problem with the outfits its that they are more or less useless because they dont show up in the Cgs. This game has been in development since 2016 and its still really empty and even the dialog is going down hill at this point.

But Akabur CG's made from scratch, he doesn't use same bodies, backgrounds and colouring as Sunsetrider does.
I do not even mention his attention for details.

PT is a work of art. I think the best of Star Channel 34 is yet to come. He's ambitious and bites of more than he can chew but he always delivers in the end.

Exactly this. Akabur does all the work himself and he takes it seriously. He's just one person and he can't produce what people want because that would not be human. But what we get is always quality. I would play his games just for the humor if all the sex was removed. The guy makes great games.

Sunset does everything from scratch too. The only thing that can be called reused are the different variation of CGs and sprites with diffrent costumes.Akabur does not even do CGs with diffrent costumes. Also no the CGs in SC34 are really not that detailed compared to his prevoius works

But that's his normal pace. He's been doing that for the last 5 years and he still makes loads of money.
