Why does minimizing contact with different fragments help? I feel like that makes it easier to get the 100 mana required.
Sophie would summon only fragments that you already met. So if you met Hunger - be ready to see it summoned with all consequences. And defeating fragments doesn't help to increase your max mp, they are not demons. That's why I think it would be much easier if you met less dangerous fragments before the battle with Belphegor.

Eh, just reload until you get a weak fragment at the start of the fight, after that it won't matter.

what's the best difficulty here for a first time player? I want resisting corruption to be a struggle but I'm worried that if I select harder difficulties I'll get the boring RPGM boss sponge/high damage type shit where you have to spam heals

For your first experience, do not select anything harder than normal/regular, especially if you intend to remain pure

Staying pure is actually pretty hard (pure is definitely harder than not-quite-pure, but then again, choosing a "total slut" route ends up being quite hard too, because you start accumulating permanent debuffs at some point)

Rule of thumb: if you're in there simply for the lewd scenes, pick one of the two easier difficulties. If you want an actual gameplay, select normal (for your first experience) or higher difficulties (for once you're familiar with the game)

In this game, everything is a negotiation. Every choice has consequences.

thanks again, I look forward to playing! I like to play these games with the goal of staying pure, it's just boring if that's too easy if there's no threat of things going wrong so I don't need to take any risks. what you said is reassuring though!

thanks! but it won't be too easy to remain pure, will it? if I actually try
Remaining completely pure is the hardest thing in the game, and a challenge even on normal difficulty.

The "easy" path is being relatively lewd, as you're rewarded with more cash and other stuff, and you of course have the option to remove collar more often if corruption is not an issue.

Also an additional hint, you can find a Clear Gem in the starting area after the long intro.

You can use it at anytime to start a NG+ where you can spend points, based on your progress, to increase stats, start with extra skills and so on.

This game's combat system has been heavily revamped, so expectations from base RPG maker games are oftentimes not accurate for this game. I mostly mention this because there's no "spamming heals" in this game. My other suggestion is that (if you skipped it) you play through the tutorial, as it'll show you some of the most noteworthy differences between this game and most other RPG maker games.

Alicia has no scenes, right? The only scenes I've seen her in are more like cameos. Kind of sad that there are no plans for more real world scenes for what I've read in the Dev's future plans.

She's in an ending CG. I've cropped it down quite a bit to avoid spoiling as much as possible. There's also a variant where Aura isn't tanned, but I didn't have it on hand. There's a potential for some minor spoilers I guess.

There's one other CG with her in it, but it's even less spicy than this one.

YES! I saw that one which is why I was like "Shit... she's pretty hot, isn't she?" and then it clicked on me that she doesn't really have scenes dedicated to her.

You could of course try to use reloading to avoid them, but why bother if you could just not create such problem? Not meeting other powerful fragments will help with this battle
Because that's a lot more complicated. You would need to plan everything you're doing around avoiding certain fragments. Particularly for a first time player that would be much more trouble than it's worth. I'd only bother doing that if I wanted to do some sort of high-reliability playthrough.
