Use the option "external save directory". It should be easy then
There are maybe a few mental changes that require stats like lewdness or exhibitionism, but that definitely shouldn't be that early (if you're talking about the Festival of Greed).
More likely you've just missed something. Maybe post a save so someone can take a look.

If I go into the Compendium and try to select the Bestiary, I get a ´´cannot read property´´ error(pictured below)
Also, if I go into the ´´Aura´´ tab and then the ´´Sexual´´ tab, the images get stuck if I select another tab until I go back to the pause menu(also pictured below)

You're playing the 0.42.0 beta release, I'm guessing. The compendium in that version has problems, which were fixed, if I understand correctly, in the 0.42.1 version (not released here)
This error in the compendium was introduced in the 0.42.0 version you're playing: some tweaks were made, and bugs sneaked in. Either you play the current, stable public release (0.41.3), or you wait for the public release of the version you're playing, in two weeks, which will be 0.42.3
Yes, I really missed the action of switching Alicia and Rose in the relationship room. I actually didn’t think that it was necessary to do this until I started poking all the objects in all the rooms. After the replacement, the events continued

Ah, I see. Thanks for the reply. I'll see how far I can get without the game completely bugging out, for now.
In the main chamber you should see the orbs for each side room.
If any of the orbs is yellow, that means that room has mental changes available.
And don't forget that once you get Rose relationship to below 0, you have to talk to the Rose guardian at the top to remove her and advance to the 2nd chamber.

The bestiary bug only happens if you try to hit ok on it while there are no categories showing, so as long as you've encountered at least one thing it should be fine.
I won't write it off as a possibility. But at the same time a lot of the story beats aren't exactly uncommon tropes across the broader spectrum of fictional writting.
I'm sure the dev is a fan. I got that vibe years back when I read the prologue. Aura and Richard shrieking at each other felt very familiar. As a fellow R07 nutcase, I'm all for it.

Is there a trick to beating the Possession enemies (the chests that steal gold)? They're weak to fire, but even with Fire I -> Pierce II, I run out of HP before they do, and they steal my gold while the battle is ongoing. Or am I just underpowered?

Possible bug report: For some reason I don't understand, using a blessed water raises my max HP significantly. In fact, it is supposed to be around 248 (maybe 253), so something probably already triggered the increase. Save attached (I hope it's the correct save, should be by the gamblers, let me know if it's the wrong one). Note: this is from 42.1, but I didn't see anything in the patch notes to make me think this would be fixed in 42.2. I appreciate any assistance.
You probably have James' Lifeshaper which adds your Willpower to your Max HP. Taking Blessed Water resets Womb of Lust, giving you back its deducted Willpower. In consequence, your Max HP increases as well.
Thank you for the fast response. That is exactly what's going on. This is the first time I've defeated James (I'm ~10-20 patches behind current progress). I saw that I had picked up Lifeshaper, but never checked to see what it did. In other words, I was being stupid. Nice artifact, though. It should help significantly.
