1.0.6 is the latest one here, what's the latest number on the steam version? (and for latest versions is it best to go for steam or itch.. or patreon)

No, the latest version is 1.10 prerelease 14, linked in the OP. The "old version" is 1.06, thread hasn't been updated because 1.06 is the latest stable release available.
If you want the latest release, definitely not steam. Not sure how often itch gets updated. Best bet is probably Patreon.
Then the issue likely is not in the game, but with your end of things.
Have you, for example, actually extracted the files? Checked your anti-virus is not blocking something?
I don't have an blocker active.
I downloaded the game normaly and via JDownloader.
Both ways downloaded the game completly. And then I unpacked them. Both ways didn't work.
And like I wrote earlier Steam Demo didn't work either.

Dunno what to tell you man, it's not some universal issue that everyone has and that someone can (easily) help you with.

Have you tried downloading NW.js v0.48.4 and extracting it over the game folder?
I just did and it didn't work.
Still getting the graphics error.
I even installed the RPGVXAce new.

It might be a problem with your DirectX, try downloading DirectX again. And if it still doesn't work then i have absolutely no idea what's going on with your PC.

Yeah pretty sure you can only get it from Shirleen by beating her at Slay the Demon. I think all of the skill rewards she offers except splash II are exclusive to her quest in fact?

Man why do they have to make it so hard to enjoy the corruption. I just wanna see a hot girl slowly start enjoying lewd stuff. Why do they gotta add all this dark stuff about suicide and bullying and dehumanization, and fucking with relationships. They made the 2 bad guys so stupidly evil and deranged, and alicia especially is so damn annoying with her constant yapping, and she keeps shouting 'toooo baaaadd' over and over and her weird ass laugh that goes like 'hyahyahya'. Their whole beliefs and reasons are so childishly misguided and fucked up, but we have to side with them and basically enforce them to get the corruption. I want to see the lewd stuff, but i also want to kill those 2 villains cos they're just so damn annoying and hate-able. I also really don't want to change the relations with aura's friends cos I don't want to see that kind of fucked up stuff. There's so many things I'm reluctant to do in the mind room corruption phase, but I can't progress unless I do them. Is it non-optional to do every single thing in the mind room to progress the lewd stuff? I've been stuck in room 1 cos I've been avoiding lowering the rose relationship as much as possible.
