anyone know if this game only has a limited time to play or if it loops around? I wasted a bit of time not knowing what I was doing. I got a thing where I don't like looking stuff up immediately and so after trial and error... and autumn and half of winter later. Do I need to restart?

The year loops back over, so you have unlimited chances at events.

Only minigames have some animation.

But there are a few cgs turned by fans into decent ai-generated animation gifs. It's all fanmade though.

seeing ai generated animations of ai generated pictures is very funny lol

but yea, shame theres no animations for majority of the scenes, but dev did say it would mean less overall scenes which most ppl seemed to rather get more scenes than less scenes with animations

This game seems interesting so I might give it a try! I do see there are choices that can unexpectedly lock you of out of content though. It is advised to use the guide for this game for my first playthrough or just play it blind for now?

Just play it blind and you could use a couple of save files to try different choices or routes.

Personally I recommend following a guide. The save system is not very good, and the replayability isn't really that great as yet.

There is so much to explore in this incredible game. Could there be a route where you have a relationship with Anna behind Adrian and Joseph's backs while they are at home? Or perhaps one where Anna has a secret relationship with Adrian behind our backs?

Perhaps add sound effects to static scenes, as in the Valentine's Day event, since I read that making them animated is not a possibility.

After going to the movies with Anna, she will ask you to spend time in her bedroom, and you will see Adrian at the door of the room with a sound effect of moaning.
