VN - Ren'Py - Abandoned - Stay True, Stay You [v0.3.0] [Danson]

This game is really good. Only the fact, that it is abandoned and does not continue keeps it from 5 stars. The characters look really attractive, the graphics is great and so the renders. The story is good and not interfere the floe of the game. Too bad it does not continue.

Like the game, this will be a very short review.

Renders are very good. The love interests are very pretty and blink during scenes giving them a lifelike quality.

As of version 0.3.0 there are only two sex scenes, but both of them are long, and I mean really long. In both instances you have sex all over the house in multiple stages in every position imaginable with plenty of dialogue. There's not a lot of sexual content yet, but what there is is done very very well.

The story is interesting so far but there's not a lot of it just yet, which brings me to the reason I dinged it a star: Over two years and only about two hours of content. I look forward to more, but at the current pace I'm not sure my I'll be able to maintain my interest over other games with more satisfying update schedules.

Still, definitely one I'll be keeping an eye on. The author has both writing and animation talent.

This is a good one. The story is very fun and amusing, the characters are all good looking (even our main character and his friend which is a bonus), the renders and animation is amazing(probably the best part of the whole game) and every character has their own personality (again even our MC who has a weird/creepy kink of collecting women's panties).

Now for the cons, the protagonist's girlfriend is really not likeable and attractive compared to all the other girls who are miles hotter. It doesn't help that we're forced to be in a relationship with her until we have the option to break up further down in the story. We only get to have sex with the girlfriend (Amy) and Kate. There are no sex scenes or even erotic ones with other girls except some teasing as of this update. It's a shame cause all the female models are damn hot especially Rose, Laura, Sarah and Hailey. And the last one is that this is quite a slow burner like a really slow one. We only have small increments of development with the girls as of the 3rd development of this game.

Finally it's a good game overall and some of the cons I mentioned are my own preference like the slow story and unlikeable girlfriend that's why I'm giving it a 4 star instead of 3.

Felt wanting for more, gotta say updates aren't that long but understandable considering the quality of renders and animations.
There's nice bunch of romance some finely worked, some very rushed and felt outta nowhere but even then handed it well, I'll keep my judgment in that regard for future updates since this one's still long way to go.
Characters are likeable especially Amy. Special mention:Kate, but Sarah's been growing on me and why I'm getting a feeling that she may replace as my number 1 in here.
I hate the fact that every single character looks beautiful which I felt unnatural but then again it's just an adult fantasy game so I'll keep that bickering to myself.
Sex scenes are hot, slightly mechanical in the way they were animated but arousing enough. I did see some facial expressions during sex scenes but would love to see dev giving some more attention towards.
Story needs some steroid right now because speed isn't that great but if that's devs natural speed of rendering then alright.

Last but not least please add *landlady* as one of the love interest, gosh can't believe hottest character of the game isn't up for grab. I mean you guys can make landlord disappear like an unfortunate accident, or, or, like landlord got too close with Greta when he saw her first time in one of the climate change meetings and it was love at first sight and totally got swayed by her beauty and ditched our landlady. I'm sure you guys have heart beating on the left side of the body to ignore such request.

Im giving 4 stars because of how skewed the ratings are here. 3 stars are barely worth your time even though they should be the "average" Rant aside,

So things I liked.... The sex scenes were many and varied. Art well done. Writing is pretty good with unique characterizations and average overall. Sure the reasonings behind some things are shallow but eh its a VN. Except for the pushing of the empowered female lines over and over. I figured there would be a more submissive male in some parts because of it and sure enough in the sex scene with amy in sarah's room she starts talking about how he secretly likes to be dominated. And MC agrees with it in his thoughts.

Honestly it just comes down to personal preference on things as to why I didnt like it more. Pretty good game, just not my thing.

Great game! Story is compelling and well written! Additionally this game has alot of great scenes that makes the story even more addictive! Highly recommend this game! The characters are beautiful and the humor has a nice touch as well, doesn't seem forced or excessive well done DEV! I look forwar to future updates!

+ Entertaining but corny story; your usual choose-a-girl non-harem VN but definitely a fun one at that
+ CG and models are gorgeous; even the males look good and this is coming from a 100% straight guy
+ A variety of choices for the adult scenes
+ The dev uploaded it in the Zone
+ Relationship system
+ Character writing is decent; not memorable but not forgettable either

- Lacks in realism; everyone is hot-and-horny for MC and the story tries to give an explanation but it's still a bit meh
- Writing needs to tone down the 'poetic' side; sometimes it tries too hard to be metaphorical and figurative
- Production is a bit concerning; more than a year or two in the making but the amount of content is short (I don't know the whole reason or story so I let this one slide)

Nothing interesting in the game other than beautiful LI's. Slow story progression , Focused more on render quality than working on story. Every update is mere 5 min long it says over 400 renders but looks like all those are added just in sex scenes and nothing more.

The one and probably only good thing about the game is renders , other than that there is nothing. No story progression has been made in over more than a year , pointless sex scenes added just to hide the fact that dev doesn't have a good story that can hold onto supporters.
The latest update(v0.30) did manage to do some of that , and was quite better than previous ones in terms of story progression and I hope that continues in future.

Game is good. Story is good for a porn game, the girls are fine and look real. It has music.

I decided to stay faithful to the girlfriend because I like her so I guess 99% of the game for me will be about denying what, 10 girls so far? Of course that's my choice but it shows what kind of game/story it is.

Updates take long to be released and quite small side Even taking my choices into consideration.

I don't find it funny that the pervert as a panties collection...

At this time, after playing this last update, I still haven't decided if I keep following it's development or not.

This is game is worth playing not saying it's best. Game got high quality renders and lovable models. But the story is not fresh. It's a usual story but it's not boring. Game's biggest plus point is renders and some smooth animations.not that much content. Overall it's worth playing.

The girlfriend; Amy is cute, and the sex scenes with her are pretty good, but I'm not gonna lie', I was hoping for some (okay, any) type of content involving one of other girls.

A little disappointed in the lack of content since the last time I played months ago. But, I understand that a good game takes time, and quality should always trump quantity.

I tend to agree with the other reviews on the dream sex trope growing a bit stale. Sure it makes for a good screenshot for f95zone, but it also misleads the player a bit.

The game does have a lot of good for what's there, though. The girls are all cute (Sarah is the fucking best), and I found the writing to be fun. (Again, Sarah's witty ass stood out the most for me here, as well.)

I'm super excited to see what's to come, truly.

Danson; the Dev, has something really special brewing here, I believe.

WTF is 'Stay true, stay you'? It sounds like corporate motivator shit you see on the wall of an accountant office. It took me a while to get over my disgust from this unfortunate fuckup of a title. Yet the models are cute and finally I decided to spend some of my precious fap-time on that.

Well ... it is a mixed bag.
The models are gorgeous!
The mom is a hottie, Rose, Kate, Sarah and the girls from school all extremely fuckable!
Yet there is NO sex with any of them. Just teasing - WTF is that?
All the sex is with the girlfriend Amy. She is cute and the sex OK...yet that's extremely disappointing and annoying!

3 stars for the effort. And please put some sex with the rest of the models. I'll check after 4-5 updates again.

Maybe will improve my rating in the future, but even though the game looks solid and the art is solid, the writing is not that good, but it pretends to be good with this fake complexity wholesome thing, but actually it doesnt dig deep. One doestn simply decide to have sex for the first time and decides to stop on the spot, specially bein a girl and as it seems, this girls gives a lot of value to that first time thing.

And this words of me talking about it and questioning the characters motives and decisions are eveything you are going to read about that particualr thing. This writer didnt dig at all, they were about to have sex, the got interrupted and the mc cracked a joke, and thats it.

But dev wanted to subvert your expectations, and there is nothing that i hate more, specially when the writer cheats and doesnt explain why it was gonna happen and why it didnt. You get a shallow conmversation abouyt nothing, which is not how a couple deals with that sudden thing. things like:
"Where are you gonna live?" "where are you going to study?" "when can we see each other?" "im gonna miss you" "call me" "dont forget about me"
It gave the illusion of being wholesome, but it actually is shit with good appearance.

This hate comes from a previous scene where the mc dreamed about his girlfriend, which from a player point of view is retarded, cause you are gonna watch her naked 2 scenes later. and the dream tells nothing This dreams+ subverted expectations combo is something i hate so i get triggered and i rate accordingly.

A really short & sweet game. TBH I couldn't see myself picking any girl other than Amy, she's definitely the best. 1st time seeing a MC inspite of having the best GF still lusts after the GILF principal which was hilarious to watch.

Sex animations were really nice to watch with plenty of options to spice it up as I really enjoyed that sex marathon all over the house. Character models were gorgeous & cast is overall likeable.

Though got TBH Dev that scene with jill(DPC on table) was insanely funny, I was like Jill WTF u doing here??

"Stay True, Stay You" V0.2.5 is one of the few games in f95zone site that deserves a five star rating. For many reasons:

- Male protagonist
- Beautiful female characters
- Main female character is virgin
- Great renders and animations
- Options that matter
- Options to fondle tits or ass (according to the player's taste)
- Options to cum inside/outside
- Options during sex scenes (oral/anal/vaginal)
- The MC is not forced to engage in sexy/sexual interaction with characters (so if you dislike a character you won't have to endure playing a sexy/sexual event with her)
- No drama (some developers use it to delay progress with the story or with the main female character. Not here!)
- No grinding (you won't spend most of the game time amassing points for whatever)
- The background sound used helped to create a proper atmosphere for the scenes.

Kudos to the developer for not being afraid to deliver the full sexual menu for the main female character in the first installments of the game. Contrary to what some developers think, full sex with the main characters is not supposed to be the end of the game. If you have imagination it can be the very beginning of a hot game!

Another feature to be highlighted is the fact that the game developer knows how to enjoy a female's backside! It is not meant to be spanked, although you can do it if she enjoys it, but it is meant to be caressed, squeezed, felt, even pinched. The game makes justice to this wonderful female asset with sexy scenes and perfect angles!

Summing up this game is AWESOME! And I cannot wait to play the next update!

Didn't expect a lot from it and almost didn't even start it, but i'm glad i did. Very nice game with a good story. The girls are both cute and hot, while not being weirdly out of shape busted or way too tiny. Interested to see how this game would be if it had way more content

I'd give it a 3.5 but since it's not possible I'll go with the 4 Stars.

The game definetily is fun but it's going so slowly with the updates.
I don't know how many patrons the dev has or how much money he makes but the updates should be more consistent.
It kinda feels like we're getting updates whenever the situation fits.

The thing bugging me most is the phone. It's good to have a hint section but for the most times it's obvious what I've gotta do and yet I'm forced to open the phone,therwise it won't stop blinking.
Worst part about that is with the messages. Whenever I'm messaging somebody I can see the dialogue and yet later I have toopen the messenger app to look at the messages.

The good sides of the game:

Beautiful (female, not gay) models and a big variety. Kate is like an angel sent from heaven. I like the idea of them four being main girls and already have side characters being interested into the MC.

If the game manages to build a constant release scedule this could be a huge hit!

Not sure why I disliked this game so much, given that it is really well made and there is nothing in it that is really off-putting. The art is fine, everything seems to be well coded, UI looks smooth and professional, some illusion of choice, no grind. The main problem is that the story is depressingly routine and uninteresting, and to me neither the MC nor the LIs were relatable or likeable in the end. Of course I understand that this is highly subjective, but what can I do. Writing is OK, but not terribly entertaining either.
