Personally, I don't mind buying the game (or Part 1 I guess) on Steam what so ever. I really liked the game when I played so many patches ago, so I think it's worth the price.
But I at least want the incest patch to be up-to-date with the full release first.

Pretty much yeah, most probably it won't need a crack just plug and play, but if it has the steam DRM it might need a steam emulator like SSE or Goldberg, but this shouldn't be the case with these games considering it's made with ren'py
