Wanted to try but mega download is unavailable.
I downloaded it, but I kept getting hit with errors and bugs that made this file not work. Then, when I tried to download the patch, it did not work either. The game looks like it has great content and models, but it really does not matter if I am having to ignore bugs every 5 seconds

Set your own relation isn't working here, still says roomate when meeting Selina. Dev has it typed in and not using the variables, "your [13]"

Game runs fine if you start from the beginning and don't use the patch. You set your relationships at the start.
I'm getting Under Development messages during school, I assume that is missing content? Kind of boring, all we do is go to school, get in bed, go to school, over and over

I was trying to figure out the timeline for this game and the MC's age...

At first I assume the MC was 18 when he enrolled in college, and at that point war broke out and he was either drafted or voluntarily enlisted either immediately after college acceptance or maybe after one semester there, deferring his college education until the war was over. The war lasted 3 years which would put him now somewhere around 21. ( 18 is pretty much the standard minimum age for selected military service in most countries.)

Of course then I didn't get why people don't recognize him and are shocked at him being tall? I mean 18 to 21 is not that many years that he should be facially unrecognizable to the people he lived with. I mean I could maybe see it if he came back with a bunch of facial hair that it might cause a recognition pause...but he's clean shaven. Also for that matter boys typically stop growing at 18 so he really shouldn't be much taller than when his housemates last saw him unless there was some kind of scientific experimentation going on with him... Slimmer sure, and bigger as far as more muscular and toned from military service though absolutely.

He also really shouldn't then be in the same classes as his same age roommate and her friend who would have moved ahead and either be juniors or starting their first year as seniors at this point, and no college is going to just skip him ahead based on his age...

And then he got detention and I suddenly got it... Detention is really not a thing in any college in the world. Which means the MC is in fact still in high school. Which I could maybe see if he left while in HS that he had to finish it, except his same age roommate and her friend also seemingly still go to the same school. Thus they could not have been 18 when he left, and the MC was not 18 when he was forced into service but around 15-16 years old. I mean there are some countries like the UK that do allow enlistment at 16 and if you figure a war was bad enough to wipe out half the male population the draft age might be lowered out of necessity. There can indeed be dramatic physical growth between 15-18 so his housemates comments also make more sense now. Suddenly it also makes sense why the Dev only mentioned the age of the older housemate and not the MC, his same age roommate, or their younger roommate. Because if he is 18 the usual max age for a high school senior then the younger girl would seemingly be an uh-oh age of 17.

However the dev could have an easy out here... All they need to do is indicate that schools were closed for at least one year because of the war. That would push the ages of the students of every grade up by a year allowing the MC and his same age roommate to be 19 and both still in high school (and all 12th grade classmates would be 18-19) and the younger roommate would then still be able to be 18 and legal.
----

One other thing, the way Mia uses the word "Landlord" also just sounds dumb no matter what relations are set. "Your landlord got it for my birthday" "Landlord is the one who payed for this new house"
If you aren't setting a relationship variable for it then, just have her at least refer to him as her husband or using an name.

Idk what it is with hating sandbox. Some hate it more than harembros do NTR. Don't ever complain about a MC "having no agency" then. (Yes I've seen a couple I get along with and had good interactions with on here in different game threads bitch about both things) Pick a lane people. :KEK:

Game looks good. All the best, dev. :)

NTR and sandbox are both bad :KEK:

One you have to grind, the other you have to watch your women get grinded on :KEK:
Yeah, I’ve never understood the value add of Sandbox, especially in Ren’Py AVNs. If you’ve got RPGM or are making a game in Unity or Unreal, maybe the open world sandbox can add some value in part because it’s already going to be part of the system you’re using for the game. But for Ren’Py you’re adding a bunch of extra work for yourself as dev, extra time and work for the player to get to any of the Visual or Novel parts of your Visual Novel, and it just doesn’t seem like anything is added at all. So added work, but no added value… at least that’s how I see it. I’ve never seen an AVN (Ren’Py especially) that was made better by a Sandbox feature. Seen some where it wasn’t inherently a negative, seen a lot where it is a massive negative, but I’ve not seen one where was objectively a positive feature.

You do know it's possible to have agency and not be forced into playing a sandbox game right? The same could also be said about not having agency in a sandbox format, the 2 concepts are actually unrelated.

As for why sandboxes are so reviled, it's because it's more work for the dev, who thinks he is providing more content for the player while he actually isn't, while taking even more development time... all for mini-games and meaningless stat-grinding to make up for not having a strong enough story or better pacing. Personally I take adult visual novels at their word and prefer to read the stories and choose my actions depending on what the dev has in mind. If they really want to make an interactive style game complete with grinding and mini-games/puzzles, there are better platforms like Unity or RPGM to do that in.

Sandbox games are reviled, because most devs start there. It's EASIER and you can develop stuff modularly. You don't need to have a whole story planned, you can use a basic framework and fill it in over time, bit by bit, area by area. Players tend to not like them though, because new devs make a lot of mistakes when they are just starting. You run into the too much busy work, or the keep hitting the timeskip/sleep button to try to get to the next scene and generally there isn't a great flow to these games when they first start out as many events are still being populated, or they make the cardinal sin of having one time events and then you are playing a 'game,' that is really just an empty ass map, where you have to click on doors and places to try to find the missing people/events.
