It seems you guys are assuming that 1 person is doing all the work and getting all the money. Given the quality of work and development cycle I'm fairly certain they Fooxied has a team working on this project. Even if each member of team is not full time they still incur expenses associated with the project as well as the need to feed themselves and any family they have.
It's more likely you're misunderstanding this. (And to make things clearer, I asked how the developer values their game and how much they're willing to pay for it.) As for him not working alone, I think that's true—but the question is, is the work paid at a fair price or what one wants?
And if a developer doesn't pay employees what they want, but rather fairly for the work they do, then the developers are in the black! I'm not saying they can buy sports cars or yachts. But they'll definitely earn more than they would in a "regular" job.
But we're not discussing money here, we're discussing the game, so let the developer handle their own finances. I wish them luck and inspiration with the project's development.
P.S. I brought this up because I hate hypocrites who complain when they're doing well. (And $10,000+ is definitely good for a project like this.)
