Right so, I guess it's a bit hard to tell what he is really using but if I had to guess it would be a mix.
Here is a reply where he talks a bit about how he usually works:

But tl;dr is: He isn't animating them frame by frame but instead using a sort of rig to let the computer interpolate the frames (Think about this as your usual Live2D animation.)
So my best guess would be that he is using a mix between generating the "main" pose with AI and doing a few corrections here and there while animating in After Effects.

The animation will probably premiere in conjunction with the second season of Arcane (on November 9), but maybe it will come out before... who knows.

Update: files moved from Pixeldrain to Bunkr, regarding the animations uspcaled to 4k 60 fps: they were removed because they had some strange bugs (I will continue investigating the problem, if I solve it I will add this fps improvement in the future).Hi guys, I upscaled some StickySpoodge animations to 4K; using a program I was able to reduce the size of each file without losing quality (your storage will thank you) .
