When you read the book, it says you have to use the red one to catch the yellowback. The other two lures will catch the other type of fish. All of them seem to have around 1/3 to 1/4 chance of catching a fish.

please help i don't know how to progress beyond the laundry..i'm on mac version 0.11 and i cant change the folders of the files, i tried to download the hotfix but i still dont know what was wrong

If you can't apply the hotfix, there's nothing you can do but wait for someone to upload a full 0.11b game for Mac.
