The backstory is that the character is adopted, it's fundamental to the story. It's not a landlady deal. The adoptive mother is a LI if you want.

And you'd probably avoid looking like an idiot if you could read posts. For example, this one linked in the OP. The dev was releasing the game here for a long time before he opened a patreon account so the game's lack of incest has nothing to do with that.

if you read the overview on the 1st page you'd know the mc's family is dead, he's an orphan, closest you get is an adopted mom, stop whining about something that's not even in the game.

When you open up the game, excited to play the latest update, only to realize none of your saves work:

And the realization of having to play the entire VN from the beginning, while remembering your previous choices:

In any case, when is the fix for broken saves coming ?

Could you try a few of your saves? Chances are, a few of them will work

So out of 34 saves, only 9 "work" and by work I mean display an image, even though it's not at the point at which I saved, but way back, and when a game does that, in my experience, chances are some of the variables are screwed and might alter my playthrough and paths chosen.
Meh, I guess I'll replay the whole thing when the game is finished...was fun when it didn't break my saves and continued normally :(

Okay okay, looks like I might've found the issue. If I did, I'll fix it and upload a hot fix shortly.
