Jobs are good but the fastest way is to use training during a date (gain based on factor and the number of actions remaining during the date, this will end the date)

Since my last save can no longer be used to load, I've had to start the game anew. However, the character creator is broken. Stats cannot be changed(they appear as 'null'), thus making class choice impossible. Race choice also doesn't change anything, and descriptions don't show anything except empty black boxes.

Make sure any mods you had installed previously are disabled. Some are causing this error, because most mods are not properly updated for the current game version (the guy handling them is working on it, but it will likely take a while). I know for certain the mod that adds extended relationships (grandparent/grandchild) breaks it.
Romance mechanic and random mansion events make game run slow it take few minutes for skip a day even i disable romance it still activated
Normally easy setup is as stated with fighters, or an early Necro that fills the other slots for you. I recently made Cali into a dodge tank with I think Ninja, the higher your MDef the more evasion you have. With high quality gear can hit 400 evasion and dodge practically everything. Game still needs to scale a bit better, I recommend doing fight content with like 2-4 jobs and not waiting until 5+ like I did. Every fight for me is pretty much a one shot and boring.
Try the Infinite dungeon. I haven't run through it but most people say if you want scaling then it's the place for it.

How do I upgrade the mansion? Or I dunno if something has bugged, I tried to unlock hunting and got all the resources for it, it says it's in the queue but I can't assign anyone to work on it. It says Daisy does but she just doesn't. It just says the task has no slots left as if someone is working on it.
I definitely used to be able to set someone to upgrade but now it's like someone who's not there is stuck doing it.
EDIT yeah it's definitely Daisy, the game says she's upgrading when she's doing anything but that. Not sure if I could just delete that off my save somehow, I added another slot for now.

I keep getting errors like these; completely fresh install, shift deleted the Strive folder from appdata
Edit: I'm also getting wayyy fewer events, and pregnancies do not show in descriptions.

I usually run dark elf caster MC and Dragonkin fighter first servant. Dragonkin tanks, mage 1 turn wipes the battle. dont need more with the dungeon crew, later maybe become necromancer to fill in the team in fight, thou its useless since MC is fastest and kills everyone in 1 AOE spell, except some bosses.
And ofc first master talent is for breeding more dragonkin, and also all the other slaves,
Okay yeah this version has too many glitches; I have futa rate set to 100% and all I get are females
I'm having a lot of fun on my current playthrough, but saving the game takes absolute ages, like ~1 minute long or longer. Any tips? Does this game have to be on an SSD?
itch.io has a later version that fixes many bugs including speed issues. There's still bugs but lot less.

To each their own. Personally I usually do 1 tank, 1 big melee dps, 1 rogue (front row)
then in the back, i do 1 healer, 1 mage, and 1 archer
My playthroughs are usually quite similar when it comes to combat characters
My archer i use Aire, rogue i use Cali, and Mage i use Jean
My character is usually the healer and i typically go with Seraph as the race, while my tank/melee dps is usually an Orc for the class Berserker. That class allows you to attack again if you kill something once per turn.
I know several people use Necromancer on one class and just solo combat scenarios.

Is there a new way to remove race restrictions on impregnation for your slaves? I know your character has the skill that does it for them, but I like crossbreeding slaves with each other, and can't find a way to do it
