The game is kinda schizophrenic at this point. A rant ahead:
They drop so many slaves on you each dungeon run but you cannot make use out of most of them because of how housing restrictions works, you can't turn them in for quests without keeping them for a few days at the least, so the only option is to sell them immediately.
The next thing is economy. Housing restrictions force you to micromanage resource extraction initially. But if you can secure some expensive resource and mine it, you can sell it and then buy food and basic resources from market which makes all food production jobs kinda useless (well, fishing is good for early money and its free but not much more).
Basic resource extraction is also trivialized by the dungeons and Lvl 3 Earth spell that with one decent mage character allows you to clear all the resources from like two dungeons each day. Stone, wood, meat, bones and to less extent iron are abundant in specific dungeon types, so you really do not need to use slaves to acquire them.
Silk and leather are less common and available on the markets in limited quantities, but you need silk really only for room upgrades and I think you can get enough by buying from market regularly and maybe cleaning some spider dungeons. Leather is basically only needed for crafting and few upgrades.
The last thing is that the moment you train some decent productive slaves, the resource game becomes entirely trivialized because trained slaves with decent corresponding factor and skill produce so much of the resource.
As the result interacting with the economy part of the game is not interesting. It is either fiddly and slow (if you do not run dungeons to circumvent resource production and income source) or there is no need to interact with it.
And yeah, later chapters unlock new resources and through them some new stuff to make, BUT YOU DO NOT NEED any of that. You can make a mage MC with Hidden Powers trait, Apprentice - Caster - Necromancer (Dominator and Soul Devourer in perspective after you grind down another 1500 Mage Guild rep) and Master skill for +35% Magical Attack and clear up almost any encounter with one cast of the Void (Dark magic 6) or Abyss Gaze (from Servants Guild) and have free meatshields from Necromancer for any case where one shot clear didn't happen. You can clear Fire Abysses solo while still being in first chapter in Tier 1 gear and get all the advanced resources that way. The only limitation is how slow mana regen is. It is actually so slow normally that I recommend taking Succubus on MC for that sweet in-combat damage buff and ability to turn others Lust into Mana out of combat.
And you are getting so much XP from running dungeons each day with one character that you will soon be out of useful classes to pick up on your MC. And it is before first chapter even ends.

R version. The game really needs three things in my opinion:
1. Revamp on XP progression because there is way too much XP from trivial fights. I feel the XP rewards are made with the idea of going into dungeons as a full party but full party is an insane overkill. You need a few skill check monkeys at the back bench at most to ensure speedy clearings. And you can get them by feeding them XP scrolls that you are getting from every single dungeon.
2. Something needs to be done about economics. There is no point of interacting with pretty much any part of it. You just need dungeon clearing team, Earth 3 on a mage or two and a decent income to circumvent most of it.
3. Pron section of the game is poorly integrated. Sex system doesn't really account for much and pretty much the same all the time. Proper events are rare, mostly non-repeatable and basically turn the game into a very short visual novel with a bunch of time sinks between the scenes. Honestly, original Strive for Power at least had something to gain out of fucking with your slaves. Here you can only gain experience but with how much XP game throws at you, it doesn't feel meaningful at all.
