I was translating the game into Brazilian Portuguese and this happened. Does anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it?

Most likely, it wants you to supply translations for menu terms.

Turns out you CAN fail Amelia's recruitment quest.


I submitted a bug report and turns out if you have Heleviel in charge during/after act 2 it fails the herb quest.

I played 0.10 or 0.11 and it was smooth. Now (0.13.1) I get an error every 5 minutes.

I'm testing the latest version of the game, v0.13.1b, and just buying slaves from the market or hiring servants from guilds is already causing errors. This latest game update seems to be quite broken compared to previous versions of the game I've played.

edit:
After changing the game language to the original "English," the aforementioned errors no longer occur. Apparently, the problem occurs when I play the game in Spanish. This makes me think that playing the game in languages other than the original English can very likely cause errors during gameplay. So, for people who are constantly experiencing errors while playing this game, I recommend playing the game in English.

I honestly was gonna leave it to cook for another year but no harm in trying.
I'm playing in English.
The errors seemed to be 3 types:

• Window function call to nil object
• Something about tattoos before building parlor.
• Last one is so long I didn't bother to read.

I'm downloading the latest from itch.io right now.

1 is pretty old, started with 0.11 if you leave the equipment window open for a while the game will bug with a call to nil error and you can use the console to cheat easily.
2 is more of a menu glitch on the equip menu, swapping characters will usually pop up the tattoo button and you can only tattoo that character, if you try changing to another the tattoo window will close but you can just redo the glitch ez
i have no idea what is the 3rd one, a issue that is still unfixed is that lock personality checkbox is gone

Yep. You are right. I played a few hours on 0.13.1b and I can confirm it still has the same errors + new ones. I can click hide errors but then some random shit happens like the game becomes unclickable until you alt tab and back or you have to switch in-game windows until it is working again.

unless you change the game configs? nope, slave "events" as they call it have a chance of happening every X days, it's on variables.gd if i recall.

Is there any art pack available with higher quality images? Many of the ones downloadable from the main post are low quality and quite outdated, so it’d be great to find a version that’s up to 2025 standards ^^

Thank you, you got me pointed in the right direction. I believe I found the interval setting in char_events.gd. Much better when they not so common. For anyone else looking to adjust it go to src then core. After opening the file its:
var interval_min = 10
var interval_max = 14
I think its done by time blocks with 4 being 1 full day.

I wish there is a easier way to add positive & negative traits to characters, would be great for roleplaying purposes. Don't even think the cheat menu support such things right now...

Save editing seems to only be cosmetic (trait icon shows up), but it does not have any actual gameplay effects.
