As far as I recall Strive4Power was the Devs first game and this one is its successor

There off topic about other games, both Strive games have been worked on with 4 being done and Con is still being worked on.
There is also another game but its in very early stage and can be played but not much is there.

Chill, man. Every thing Conquest does, PoP does it better.
Just so you know, I really dislike futa. But facts are facts: development seriousness, speed, and bug fixing are not subjective facts. Maverik is just one among many, many patreon devs who could learn from the example.

The game will always be free, because I find it quite weird not to. It feels like if something isnt free, patrons dont really pay to get something, but instead pay so others dont get it, which is quite a weird concept.

Gotta respect what's worthy of respect. But I do agree we shouldn't insist too much either. I don't take orders from you, though; a 'please' can go a long way.

Great rpg part of the game with cool gameplay, dungeons, loot and stuff. But lack of visual stimulation during sex scenes. And sex events kinda boring. But still cool game - 8/10.

also I'd argue PoP and Strive are going for a different enough scope to make direct comparisons whiff. sometimes I want a cookie, sometimes I want the whole damn bakery.

(you're completely right about play testing/bug fixing tho, feels like there's a conquest hotfix every other update)

The reason PoP was mentioned was because of my criticism of Conquest having Absolutely No Fucking Gameplay Direction.
If you don't want to be criticized than make a Better Game.
If Combat and Character Building is the focus I expect something comparable to PoP or Venus Blood.
If Management is the focus I expect something like Brothel King or Bifrost.
Even something like the old Slavemaker has a formula and mechanics that make "Training" work.
Crafting is also an option like in the Atelier Series.
Even the simple Exploration like in the Original CoC can have it's appeal.

There are certainly things this game can do, even Jack of All Trades is possible like with PoP, but they need to find something if the game is going to be more than just mediocre.
Strive 4 Power was a Dead End, if they bother to start from scratch with Conquest there is no point in going to the same Dead End.

While Brothel King has its weakness, it at least has Customized Image Packs with Sex Scenes, something that Conquest can't even do so I can't even use it for that. Maybe a Mod will fix it but I doubt it based on how the Sex Mini-Game is implemented.
As for Bifrost, the best brothel management game ever released. And how a "Debt" is properly used in a game.

was Displaced, over THREE years ago. It also had real-time, but was of more simple scope than Conquest. If Displaced's MC was a baker, Conquest would be about running a bakeries chain. My actual qualm is right here: Conquest is too ambitious for its own good.
It might have been an honest planning mistake; yet 1$ supporters have already paid for a 40$ game. Objective facts are cruel like that. There are certainly worse Patreon examples, but true, any comparison would be biased.

I have really seen much better implementations of both Systems in worse games.

It's a game where you train a single Slave at a time and the goal is depending on your playstyle/MCs setup to build your own Harem.
If you want to compare atleast choose a game like Jack-o-nine-tails, which has both a higher dificulty requiring management skills and better training engine.

Let's just agree to disagree we obviously set our focuses on entire different aspects of a game I might try PoP again some time though.

The way I see it Patrons support a development of a game that would otherwise never be made by any company as like you say it's far to ambitious, as it's to niche and has a high risk with unknown payout... crowdfounding games like this is the only chance something like this will ever be developed... and I for the point am just happy about the fact it is developed at all.

nowhere in there did I say, explicitly or implicitly, criticism is unwelcome. this is a forum, not a dictatorship. the very fact that I brought up Mav's questionable play testing / bug fixing multiple times in my post history should've clued you in.

the point of that post is inform Sandsea that the harder they paddle, the harsher the lashback (and also to maybe get them to pose in a bikini, but that's not relevant to the topic at hand).

I'll leave the rebuttal of your examples to more experienced debaters since I am not familiar with all the examples you've quoted, though isn't Atelier one of those long-running JRPG franchises? if so, that's an unfair comparison considering the difference in production team sizes and so forth

the "worth" of each game is subjective from one player to the next. if a supporter has derived so much joy from whatever they are supporting to keep at it, is being crushed by sunk cost fallacy, or forgot that they pledged, let them do it. it's their money.
(now whether that's a "smart" way to spend said money is, of course, very, very debatable, but you certainly won't find me complaining that the games I like are being funded)

I encourage you to look around, especially for completed games. Strive 1 proved they can do it when they want to. There's no shortage of very well-made games in the same category, most of them with full art, albeit not all with translation. But I won't share names here, lest I be hit out at again

Both have their own pacing and economy, but what does Conquest have? What do you even need money for? The mansion upgrades are behind grinding harvesting not gold.
Every chance that gave slaves some type of Value and Purpose to Training is already gone, and they don't even have much value as Brothel Whores either.
The only Value is as Soldiers and Miners at best. Not even Crafters as something like Atelier Series seems to be beyond an Indie Developer's comprehension judging from the comments here.
But I don't need that many Soldiers as for Miners I don't really need that many resources.
Should I collect them as pokemon? But they are all the same with the same classes and skills available making them not all that different.

What should I do? Isn't it pretty much a Gameplay Dead End? Half of the Mechanics and Systems are useless!

you'd probably be happy to know I have PoP on watchlist since v16 and have several complete runs under my belt (thanks telekinesis, please don't ever get nerfed). wouldn't call myself seasoned by a long shot, but I certainly don't hold any ill will towards PoP.
(especially that plant succubus art. that thing crits me like nothing else)

in the mean time, I'm sure the silent majority of this thread appreciated your recommendations. we're all gamers after all, great games make us happy.

let's hope Conquest grows into that category one day.

If you aren't paying attention to the differences in races and how their special abilities to optimice a certain action that's quiet the case.
Me? For me the races are the main motivation of building a Harem and set up as many races as possible inorder to get the best effects, once traits get included this will be even more interesting.

The Crafting System is there, but the game doesn't revolve around it, just like it doesn't revolve around Brothel Management, or Slave Training, or Breeding and Character Building, or Exploration.
Combat is the only thing you can argue for it but even that is rather rudimentary.
Will the Combat ever pose a challenge in the finished version? Based on the mechanics so far I doubt it.
